Table sugar is sucrose like macrophage69alpha said.
I just got 25 L of invert syrup from work(chem lab) to brew some beer, but anyway...
If sucrose is inverted (hydrolised) you get half glucose(dextrose) and half fructose(levulose).
Glucose enters the blood stream within 15 minutes, Fructose takes up to 4 hrs.
So for insulin spike, glucose is the one to go for (or avoid).
