switching routines??????????

Kermet

I'd like to switch my routine around, but I'm wondering how to deal with the recovery period while switching. I'm doing the old chest and tris on monday, cardio tues, backs and bi's wednesday, cardio thurs, legs fri..
I'd like to start monday doing one body part each workout day. This means my tris may be over trained because I did'nt have the 5 to 7 day resting period for that muscle group, by starting the new routine. How do you guys do it when you switch? The reasons 'n concerned is I'llbe in my 4th week of my 1st AS cycle and I don't want to jeopardize any of my gains.
Any help for this simple question would be much appreciated.

Now
Mon - Chest & Tris
Tues - Cardio
Wed - Back & Bi's
Thurs - Cardio
Fri - Legs

Next Week Example
Mon - Chest
Tues - Tri's
Wed - Shoulders
Thurs - Back
Fri - Bi's
Sat - Legs

As long as you arrange it so you are starting with chest in the new period, you should have plenty of rest. I just made the transition a few weeks ago. I always just start with the body part I trained the longest ago. As long as you don't start with legs again on Monday you'll have more than enough rest time for every part. 72 hours is plenty in most cases.

My only problem is with that routine my tris will be fatigued on tuesday because of the slight use of my tris by doing chest exercises the day before.

You can rearrange it , so back and bi's aren't near each other and so tri's and chest aren't.

Mon - Chest
Tuesday - Bi's
Wed - Shoulders
Thurs - Legs
Friday - Tri's
Sat - Back

I'm just throwing out examples. Arrange things however you want. You'll be fine rest wise as long as you don't start with legs on Monday, since then you'll get your full 72 hours rest for each body part.

I think the above is a great split - you wouldn't want to work chest with fatigued tris OR fatigued shoulders, nor would you want to work back with fatigued shoulders. You also shouldn't do cardio the following 48 hours aftering doing legs (so legs can recover) & that split takes care of all of that.

I thought one of the biggest benefits of AS is that it allows you to recover quicker & thus gain lean mass quicker - so it's best to do a muscle every 5 days or even everything 2X per week? You could always do the larger muscle groups 2X per week & shoulders & arms 1X per week. I have a friend who does this who is a very hard gainer (long & lean, can't get a peak on her biceps, etc.) & she's not on AS.
