SWAT cops kills dog with kids present

terrible video. for all we know shooting the dog was justified, we couldn't see if it was trying to bite them or not.
 
this shit always happens in these small cities or towns where these gungho assholes are trying to live out some dream they had as a kid.

what a joke. put those guys in a city with real criminals and see what happens or if they make the cut.

it sickens me how pathetic the screening process is for police officers. they need to do some more in depth psychological analysis instead of hiring so many "i wasn't cool in high school, so i might as well be a cop to feel important" officers.

what's more retarded is firing a weapon with the kids present at all. if a bullet went through the dog and hit the child or ricocheted, what would they be fuckin saying now?

If they're afraid of a dog barking - they should go back to working at Walmart. All that armor, weaponry, training and they're afraid of a barking dog? Even mailmen don't carry M16's!

I bet they'd also shoot you too if you simply moved your arm down 2 inches.

you can't see what the dog is doing. when you are charging into a house with a search warrant and weapon drawn and rooms uncleared, a dog biting at your legs is a safety risk. your attention is diverted and leaves you open.

there were 2 dogs. one was a little shit dog (if they're scared of that, they have bigger problems) and other was a pit that was in a cage. they shot it anyways. a fuckin corgi dude? seriously? a corgi is dangerous?

fuckin cowards. if Mike Vick can go to jail and lose all hsi assets over dog fighting and killing dogs, these guys deserve just the same.

all i know is what i saw in the video. i'm not going to take the word of random youtube users as gospel. i didn't see a dog in a cage get shot, nor did i see the other dog get shot. point being we don't know all of what happened so i'm not just going to crucify these people until i have more information.

the newspaper article from the columbia tribune reaffirmed the facts of what was written.

you know whats hilarous? The guy had 1 gram of marijuana and a pipe. they said he was a dealer.

as a pot smoker, you're not bothered by that?

lol...i'd get mad that this might be a political reach/excuse to vent about unrelated policy (like that redsam thread that one day) but you're absolutely right.

a month or two ago,at my school there was a PhD student (black kid from africa) that got shot in his own home by campus officers with assault rifles. They had no real reason to enter the premise other than someone called about a disturbance. he was the only one there, and he didnt want to come outside, but they used a battering ram on the door and then shot him. there's a video on youtube about it
and you can clearly hear the guy say "I'm ok. I'm ok" to the officers. and then you hear 5 shots. 3 with a beanbag gun and 2 with an assault rifle.

and the guy who fired the assault rifle? A guy who had multiple issues with misconduct and was known to be a headcase.

the good thing is this story is starting to circulate. these guys are going to pay one way or another hopefully. i hope this guy has a decent lawyer that can sue the fuck out of the department. if the lawyer is smart enough he'll forward this to multiple media outlets which will put pressure on the department to settle and save face.

they really needed a fuckin SWAT team to bust a guy with a gram of weed?

and they were dumb enough to do this when the kids were home?

great work narcotics investigators.

this is EXACTLY why i prefer big cities. Yeah you have the occasional sean bell/NYPD type situation, but big city cops tend to not fuck up like this and only deal with real criminals.
 
video of the shooting i was talking about...the fucked up part is the cop who shot him BOOKS out of the apartment after he shot him. the other cops had to tell him to come back

I didn't defend the police or say the shooting was justified. I said "for all we know the shooting was justified," because based on the clip posted we can't see any of what happen. If Razorgunz had posted an article, it might've been different. I hate animal violence, but I had little interest in googling the story to get more information. I just didn't (and don't) care.


As for sending an entire swat team to bust a guy for a gram of weed? Yeah that's fucked, but again this is information I did not know. I commented on what was posted.

I respect real police officers in areas that require them. Big city police actually have something to worry about and are too busy to break balls for no reason or fulfill there dream of being rambo. And you can be sure that their SWAT teams are way better trained and level headed than these inbred retards.

I've seen a lot of cops in a lot of areas in the country. The smaller the towns, the more douchey and untrained/unprepared the cops. And in those cases, the idea holds true about the "wanna feel like i have some sort of power because i was a loser in high school" theory for the most part. The big city cops (for the most part) are the ones who are worried about the crime.

it's one thing to fuck up and think maybe someone is reaching for a gun or shoot somebody where there is a visible threat, it's another thing to shoot first and ask questions later.

You know you make a very important point there I expect a lot of people would either overlook entirely or minimize.

Kids see in black and white. There is no situational relativism with kids. Their reasoning skills are very basic until about age 11. You kill their dog, you are bad. Then they grow into adults with that memory influencing their opinions and behaviors.

Not good for any of us.
 
I hate fat cops, nerdy/geek cops and country bumpkin beat down cops and also cops that get their badge because they got beat up in high school and have a vendetta against the public now. The rest are fine, I have some very kewl cop friends, but that video was disturbing none the less. carry on.

You do realize that a good majority of LE are power happy right? They don't really deserve the benefit of the doubt, that's why lots of LE abuse their power, because they know people will just "give them the benefit of the doubt". Hell, in Baltimore there are SO many false arrests that now if your court case get's dropped you have to sign a waiver stating you won't sue the city or state...I know, it happened to me. Some kids at College Park here just got beaten down by some cops ON video tape, unprovoked. A cop smashed one of my buddies car windows because he didn't call him "sir" during a traffic stop. Most cops DO NOT risk their lives ever during their career. Most make traffic stops, issue parking tickets, or patrol areas where nothing ever happens. Sure SOME cops I give all the credit in the world to because they work in areas where they very well may get shot, but to make the general statement that all cops should just be given a pass because they have a badge is are ridiculous statement.

As to the thread, if they shot a dog in a cage, they should be shot themselves. If they shot a SMALL dog because it was barking, they should lose their badge...just saying...

^^^yep. Won't surprise me one bit if in 5-10 years we here this kid made a 911 call and then waited for a squad car to show and hose em down with an assault rifle. Unfortunately it likely won't be the douchebags that entered that house. What criminology masterminds sent a swat team to take down that household? They knew who was in there cause they watch these places before they go in. Really hard to understand their methodology here. If even if the dude was a major "marijuana only" dealer that was still way too much heat. You reserve that kind of show for the crack and meth houses. They could've rolled that dude when he went to get his paper in the morning with his bathrobe still on. It's like they need to give these headcases "a fight"....gotta keep the boys sharp so let's completely overkill a situation. :rolleyes:

OK this sttement hows that you dont have someone you love as LE...reason why is even though most traffic stops end in nothing more than a citation..they are the most dangerous part of the job...the unknown dangers of the people being stopped. I am not saying they should get a pass for poor behavior...just not the instant hate from people...they deserve people to wait and hear all the facts...you would be surprised what comes out in the end and justifies the action.

I remember watching a video of some cops in a subway that were fucking with some kids. A couple of cops had a kid FACE DOWN and he was squirming or something and a fucking cop shot him straight in the back. Fucking Murder 1 if you ask me.

NO matter how you cut it, the cop just murdered this boy.

Get used to it. As time goes on , we will see more of this bullshit. And it wont be because of the president elect.

dude you live in baltimore, and you are talking shit about cops. i'm sure there's a few bad ones, but you do realize they are protecting thousands of people every day? you have one of the highest murder rates per capita in the country. it's easy (and sometimes justified) to talk shit about small town cops, but you are shitting on the cops that keep you safe.

when cops fuck up i'm the first one to ridicule them, but you make some terrible points.
 
everyone has their own bias towards cops, myself included. One bad experience turned my attitude towards them negative years ago.

I'll be happy and thankful as fuck when a cop bails my ass out of some shitty situation tho. I try to live my life to avoid needing help from anyone, ever.

the negative experience I spoke of was the exact same type of witch hunt. They didn't kill my dog tho.

just arrested me and cost me $10,000 in lawyers fees and court costs for nothing.
