what do u guys think about sushi while cutting? Its the california rolls which have carrot, avocado, and celery in them wrapped in rice. I would only eat them with my postworkout meal. thanks

Pretty Funny...i Was Just About To Post About This...i Had Sushi The Other Night Bu Had Them Use Brown Rice Instead Of White Rice....i Got Spicy Tuna Roll And Some Miso Soup. I Think That Is Acceptable....i Never Realized They Can Use Brown Rice....don;t Ask Me Why But I Never Thought Of It Haha. Tasted Just As Good

I live in Los Angeles, so I could understand your situation, LOL

Anyway, the sushi you speak of isn't bad for you, but I wouldn't say it's the greatest thing for cutting. It's very tempting because a whole plate full, like 8 pieces, is only about 300 calories, no fat, and tastes great. and that makes it a good choice for when you HAVE to eat out.

However, a meal of sushi is mostly carbs, a lot of salt, and very little protein for the price ($8 for a plate of 8)

in my opinion, sashimi, just the raw fish, is better on a cutting diet.

I had some ther other night as well. I was pissed cause the package said California Roll but when I opened it it was crab meat wrapped in white rice. It didn't taste too bad with a little soy sauce though

Sushi is some good tasting stuff but not good from a nutrition standpoint. White rice is a high GI food so it readily turns to sugar.

Seems like a good post-workout meal of choice regardless of goals. However, if you aren't seeing the progress you are searching for, you might want to do a bit of tinkering. But by the sounds of it, you have got yourself a diet savior.
