I've never done a TKD, but when I do a CKD I, contrary to what many people say, think HMB works fairly well. Any other time it seems pretty worthless. I usually do 3 grams spread out, between meals, and it seems to work quite well as an anti-catabolic. I've done CKD's with and without it ,and it has a noticable effect. ALA has never done all that much for me, but I might not have taken sufficient amounts, i.e. >1gram. I also don't bother with creatine during the week and only take it during the carb-up.
