Super Rare Yates pics

Well you must be fuckin special. J/K. It still won't work for me for some reason. Cool pics anyway though. K 2 ya.
 
he was a bad mofo. first super freak IMO. i seen him guest pose at night of champions in late nineties. it was first time a bb'er posed over 300lbs. at least that i know of. when he had his back to u, it looked like he had a huge turtle shell on his back, and u could see his quads from the back. they were huge and hung to side.

i always thought his arms were so ugly..

He was the break through guy with the GH insulin.. shit.. i think..

Great pics. It's ashame how they all got so freaky. I love big muscle mass, but look at how tiny his waist was in the early pics. I don't think Dorian was the first freak though. I think that would be Lou Ferrigno when he made his comeback in 92. 6'5 310lbs and a HUGE gh gut to go with it. Damn shame.

From his early skinny pics, it looks like he was pretty ectomorphic.... I had no idea, I always thought he was more Endo..... Nice pics...

you should see how he looks now after he has lost 50 pounds and the GH gut remains,,.... its aweful.

I just watched a re-run of the 05 Arnold Classic today on HD, and I have to say that there was something very special about not only Arnold, but the other competitors of his day. I can't quite put my finger on it. It's almost like the new guys are people made out of blocks of muscle, and the old timers had physiques that were molded out of clay by a sculptor. The new guys are bigger, sure, but they don't "look" bigger. Know what I mean? Most of the new guys don't have the differentiation in their physiques to really make the muscles seemingly pop right off the bone. In a reaction to overcome their huge waists, they figure if they get everything else bigger, it will make their waist look smaller. I really respect what they go through to prepare for a contest and everything, but someone needs to put a halt to all of this.
Just imagine what Arnold would look like if he had all of the GH/Insulin/IGF/Diuretics/and juice other than Primo and dbol. With his mental intensity and work ethic, he would step over Ronnie Coleman's limp, lifeless body on any stage in the world. I would bet that Arnold would be 6'2" and a shade over 300 pounds in contest shape. Of course, he wouldn't be able to do a vacuum, and he'd have a big turtle shell of a gut, but who cares...He would be huge, dude! :rolleyes:
 
I loved his dry shreded look a bit like Gary stardon. His arms where poor because he tore his biceps. I think he was awesome :)

Couldn't agree with you more... but just comparing their backs... i regret to say i like dorian's the best. That shit is off the hook. ronnie just looks like a deformed science experiment gone way to far. just my opinion though :)
 
Recently heard Dorian was back into hard training again...maybe the Masters O?
 
That's an amazing transformation, but it's also kind of sick if you think about it. he got to the point where he was huffing and puffing after going up a few stairs.

Also, that pic of yates, coleman, and shwarzenegger shows how much more cut the new guys are. I think size wise Ahnold compares, but that was before Lasix :)
 
Uncle Dorian is coming to my gym soon!! JOY!! I will post a pic of us together. While I would love to see some of the huge shows in the US, it is really quite nice that the bodybuilding scene is fairly tight-knit on this little island, everyone ends up knowing everyone!!!
 
He always did have a ruggedly powerful physique even when he first started training and was pretty small he had a look of ruggedness.

BUT, it's pretty obvious that his real bone structure is not that big nor was he big to begin with.

I don't care how hard he trained, without the mega doses of steroids and HGH and igf-1 he would never have gotten to half the size he attained.

I mean no disrespect, but I've seen alot of guys in the gym after a year of training that woulda schooled his early lifting pics in size and shape. I can just imagine these guys with the amount of gear he had and I can honestly say I don't think the best built or possibly best built man holds the olympia crown atm or since Arnold.

I've known 2 guys that untrained where bigger, just as cut, stronger and better shaped than his early lifting pics. Obviously they were incredibly rare people that had umlimited potential and never capitalized on it which is anotehr reason why I give Dorian props because despite the massive drug use he had an impeccable work ethic and always brought it to the stage and backed his shit up.
