i'm trying to bulk up, cause, well, i'm kinda small to begin with (5'6" and about 160-ish). my routine is pretty solid. my diet is decent, but i'm looking to some advice on adding foods to up my daily calories.
My known calorie total is 2600/day, known protein is 190g/day, and known carbs are 235g/day.
none of these include some minor snacking and does not include dinner (which i try to go healthier on both, like cottage cheese for snacking, but both vary day to day).
i do have 2 whey protein shakes a day, the post workout one has maltodextrose (either added or drank separately) and i drink the 2nd shake within 2 hours afterwards with an ANPB sandwich. i eat 8 eggs a day, 4 of which are whole (i could bump it to 12 though), 2 bowls of oatmeal daily with ANPB, flaxseed meal, and some honey (havn't found anything else worthy/tastey enough to add for some additional flavor...suggestions please!). i also eat a can of tuna a day or a double serving of salmon, on crackers, with 1 tbsp of flaxseed oil added.
my diet is pretty clean overall. i could clean it up some more if necessary, and that's just a slow process on my part (it's getting MUCH better). but slow moderation to a cleaner diet is keeping me on it.
i'm not looking for a ripped physique. overall i'm looking to get thicker, bigger, and stronger. got nothing against a completely ripped physique, but everyone has their preference, and i just wanna thicken up a lot, and i've got a long way to go.
so any suggestions for healthier snacks to boost my calories up (and i have a feeling my carbs need to go up too) would be greatly appreciated. i just want to keep my diet tasting good and geared towards bulk.
one last question...what should my minimum calorie intake goal be? i'm aiming for 3K or more daily, and probably getting there, but how much higher should i aim? the hardest part is just getting the food IN. i've never eaten this much in my life, at least in clean foods, which are much harder to put down than junk food.
thanks to anyone that can help! greatly appreciated!
