toss in my two cents...

I I'm trying to get GS to put a Cap on the number of NEW threads a member can start in a 24hr period. You can post all you want but will be limited to the number of New threads you can start in a day...

At first GS was not going for it and thought it a bad idea… Last week I pointed out a member who posted 4 threads about shit (literally… Feces! ) in a 5 hour period... I might have just convinced him.

can't let one shithead ruin it for everybody else (get it). some entertaining posters can start 10 good threads a day that add to the site. others start 1 thread and it stinks up the place (sticking with the feces theme still).

if someone abuses the unlimited thread creation priviledge, diggerfy him and warn him not to continue else face ghosting/banning/reaming. couple this with perhaps a new thread restriction for _new_ non-plats that increases with length of time as a member and # of posts.

also, the large & growing # of stickies means fewer threads on page 1, and most people will never scroll to page 2. less stickies, more life 4 each thread.

While I understand what you are trying to achieve, would this be for nonplats or for both nonplats and plats?

If it is the latter then you might want to rethink that.
