Stress/anxiety reduction meds

I know this is the anabolic board, but no response from the 'life ext' one, and I know I've read that some of you guys take this type stuff.

What are some good meds for stress? I have a serious problem w/ anxiety in school, and well, everything. I get worried about virtually everything, its ridiculous.
I have talked to a shrink here at school, and he's not much help.

What are some meds?
And, anyone have any experience with them?
thanks

I had anxiety/panic attacks too. I went to my doc and he gave me clonopin and zoloft. That was over two years ago. I've been fine since. As far as gear goes your fine when on anxiety meds. I tell my doc when I'm on a cycle so he knows everything. Good luck bro.

before going phartmaceutical try some natural products like Sam-e
St Johns Wort, and what really works great is concentrated Valarian root extract. Take 3-4 of those and there will be no anxiety and you'll sleep like a grizzly. Other drugs like the bezodiazapams like: Klonopin, valium, ativan will all immediately wipe out the anxiety, but beware the rebounds, so you need a more involve program with a shrink or psychologist to bounce questions off.

If you have serious anxiety then unfortunately nothing OTC will work. Your anxiety sounds extrinsically induced as most peoples are. Many times these cases don't require any medication as the source can be controled from the outside. An anxiety disorder often times has no roots in reality and just persists in ones head relentlessly and uncontrolably. The little, most insignificant and irrational thoughts can put a person with anxiety disorder into complete disorientation and frustration. It often times can be cripling and lead to panic attacks. For these people something is needed to correct the imbalance and "even" them out. Bezodiazepines are the best at treating severe anxiety and are miracle drugs for those whom need them. Their drawback is that they are hoghly addictive and make functioning while on them a little awkward...They fuck you up much like smoking a joint. Xanax, Klonopin, and Valium are effective, but they have drawbacks. Buspar is another good drug without the "haze" and addiction accompanying benzos. It takes a while to exert full effects though. SSRI's also alleviate anxiety though they are better suited for depresion and much of the time only act as weak anxiety antagonists. If your anxiety is uncontrolable, plaguing, and interferes with you ability to function then you should probably see a doctor. It it's the "oh shit, I need to get this assignmet done anxiety" you need to take a break and clear your head.

Someone else talking out of their bottom. Dude, if you had read all of the studies on inositol you would realise that you are wrong. Why do people insist on talking without really knowing?

Inositol will treat serious anxiety.

anxiety

Was going to respond, but Beezer said it all and is right on the money. The only thing I might add is that Paxil is the only anti depressant proven to alleviate symptoms of anxiety. It worked wonders for me and has the added benefit of delaying ejaculation, which can make you very popular with the ladies. I've had scripts for buspar, ativan, restoril (for sleeping), clonipan (which works great but makes study difficult) but now am only on Paxil. IMO, sometimes it's just a matter of getting over the hump: you don't want to be on anything, especially the benzos, for an extended period of time. See another shrink and see if he can help you get to a point where you can see the light at the end of the tunnel (don't mean to be mixing my metaphors here). If that doesn't work or he won't write you a script, PM me.
