Street Fight Video

I am a bouncer so almost everynight I am engaged in a pysical struggle.

granted it helps that I am sober and they most likely are tanked.

I had a kid throw a first punch at me much like in the video last week, knotted his forhead with a quick jab.

I never profess to be a great fighter, I know some moves, can lock anyone up and at 200 pounds with quick speed I can be a handleful for most. But theres always guys who could wax me, hopefully that guy does not enter my bar anytime soon.

Wow you are so modest. Most of the people on this thread just went on about how bad they would've beat the other guy, blah blah blah.

A man who knows and admits his limitations........Bravo!

MOUNTING IS A DOMINANT POSITION IN A FIGHT (I.E...MIXED MARTIAL ARTS). A TOP MOUNT IS WHEN YOUR OPPONENT IS UNDER YOU WITH HIS LEGS BEHIND YOUR LEGS. IF HE IS ON HIS BACK AND HIS LEGS ARE WRAPPED AROUND YOUR WASTE, THAT IS A GUARD (WHICH IS THE DOMINANT POSITION).

i'm not sure how effective the gaurd would be in a street fight. It seems all too easy to punch the guy in the balls, if you are in his gaurd.

am i the only one who gives the black guy a big FUCK YOU???

if i was a spectator to that fight, no matter what side, i would have been on that fucker like a fly on shit. there is absolutely no reason to kick a man while he's down

fuckin ghetto ass bitches :fro:

i give the little dude credit. you can just tell with gut instinct when someone is just talking shit to you and when your gonna have to fight fight no matter what. he recognized he wasnt gonna get out of it and tried to connect to save his ass, even though is was a poor shot, lol

Looks more like a pasture fight, or maybe a open field fight, but not a street fight.

BTW, I do think it's quite funny that the white boy's friends just stood there petrified while the poor lad got pummeled.

There is so much bullshit on this thread, I don't know where to begin.

supernav, have you ever even been in a fight before?

And what's with all the black/white bullshit?

Both of these guys would have been eaten alive if they'd been fighting someone who knew how to fight.

Both of these guys can't strike or grapple for shit.

If you ask me, the taller guy could have hurt him much worse if he wanted or had the skill to do it, but NO ONE who has 30 seconds of one of my beatings would get up like that. Why? Read below.

Here's my advice to both fighters:

Smaller guy - Never stand toe to toe with a taller or faster fighter. Take them down using a double-leg and work the inside where YOU have the advantage. And, for god's sake, learn how to fight before you take on someone bigger than yourself. Pride and courage are good and all, and you proved you can take a beating, but that's about all you proved. Decide before you start fighting where the fight will be; ground or feet. Don't throw a punch and then try a take down when it doesn't land.

Bigger guy - Never throw a hundred, wild punches and waste your energy or take the chance of breaking your hand on someone's skull. One day, you will have enough power to break bones when you punch; make sure they aren't your own. Don't waste oxygen screaming like a girl during the fight, either; it makes you look silly and scared to an experienced fighter. Tell your buddies to stay out of your fights, and learn some grappling skills.

YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE NVR BEEN IN AN ARM BAR OR SOME TYPE OF SUBMISSION FROM A GUARD. GRANTED IN FIGHTS LIKE THIS IT IS BASICALLY IMPOSSIBLE. I MEAN SHIT, THE GUY COULDNT EVEN HOLD A FULL MOUNT FOR HIS LACK OF ESTABLISHING BASE. HOWEVER, IF TWO PEOPLE EVEN REMOTELY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING, ITS ALL GOOD!!!

THOUGH I BASICALLY STATED THE EXACT THING EARLIER, I FULLY AGREE WITH YOU. SUPERNAV REALLY DOES SPIT NONSENSE SOMETIMES.

Holding the mount is an artform in itself, and is by no stretch of the imagination an easy thing to do. Experienced BJJ players and submission wrestlers get rolled out of the mount all the time.

Personally I think the guard is overrated outside of BJJ or submission wrestling. If you introduce strikes, and with today's knowledge of submission defense spending too much time in the guard ends up getting you pounded. There are some exceptions. Mintauro has a incredible active guard, but he is the exception not the rule. See any one Tito has fought, or review Caol Uno v. Fabiana Iha

Nav, Looks like you enjoyed seeing the white kid getting beat up a bit too much. Do you have some sort of problem with whites? If so, tough shit. There's plenty of "whiteys" in that age group that could have ripped that black kids ass to shreds.

Yep,the mount is actually taking a gamble against an experienced fighter...The only time I will mount a guy in a street fight is if I know he's tired or I can get a high mount(knees in arm pits)or a mount with him on his side or facing the ground.Otherwise, the knee on stomach is a better top control position with less gamble of being rolled out.
