stomach hernia from lifting heavy

damn dude you are getting all fucked up now lol

I've made amazing gains with my legs. I honestly went from deadliftings in the 200's to the 400's in a very short time. still making huge gains with my legs.

I guess deadlifting that much weight gave me this hernia.

I also got hemorrhoids as well for like a few days. hurt like hell. i guess I might have to tone down the weight

its not painful. when i push down its tender. size of a pea

its actually almost exactly between navel and pecs.

what did u do about yours? i've read it will get worse and i've read it could go away on its own.

I had surgery. Chances are it will get worse but only if you continue to push the envelope. Mine wasn't painful either unless I pushed on the inflamation itself.
Had it fixed and have never had an issue since.

describe the surgery if you don't mind.

was it an incision or did they go in without having to cut? how long were you out of trianing for?

the reason I am asking is i have like 2 months before my next cycle and have to make a decision soon as to what i have to doo

They put a 3 in. cut in my belly, pushed it back in place, put a mesh screen inside to stop it from coming through again and stitched me back up. Thats the simple discription.
They told me not to train for about 6 weeks. Of course we all know how much we listen to that. I was back in the gym in 2 weeks. I took it careful (moderate weight) for 2 more weeks then I slowly started to get back to heavy weights again and never looked back.
If you do go that route, at least take a precaution, use a pressure bandage on the stiched area when you train to help give it added support. You wan to minimize any risk of re-injuring it.

thank you my friend. sounds like its not as big a deal as I thought. I had to take 2 weeks off twice in the past year because of bronchitis and a sinus infection. and each time I came back stronger then before so I will be fine.

I got something like that rite above my belly button, had it for around 5 months now, hasn't got any bigger. Sometimes i do some hardcore ab back and general core workouts that have me aching for a couple of days and still looks the same. I can like push it in and it comes back out slightly. It's only small, only noticeable under a certain light. Had an examination at doctors and they said something like, nothing to worry about it will go away/heal. I don't get any pain from it though. Just get checked out see what they say.

I would take some time off bro...seriously

Bro i got the same thing about an inch above my belly button on a little to the left side. I got it from poor breathing habits while deadlifting.
Its the same as yours. Size of a pea. I've had it for about a year. I stopped dealifting heavy and I dont have any issues with it. When I get my BF% down I will get it fixed. I was still doing real heavy rack pulls instead of deads before I took 6mos off. Sometimes it gets a little sore but most of the time its fine. Basically I have a little tear but it obviously didnt rip the fascia or shot would be alot different.

you hit the nail on the head. it came up when i started upping my deadlifts. i will tone those down.

I've had one for quite some time and didn't know it until a doctor (a chiropracter) looked carefully when I arched my back enough and could see it. I think I got it from years of heavy abs training and it sometimes really hurts if I train my abs directly. But, my doctors (internal medicine and GI doc) say it's "small" and are not recommending surgery. I'm thinking of finding an appropriate surgeon who is willing to fix it because the pain, when it happens, doesn't feel "small" at all. It can be pretty serious when doing core exercises, especially abs.

I used to train abs directly and thoroughly with no problem at all, but the hernia pain gradually became evident.
