Steroids and Hairloss, best combination

Just to keep everyone posted I decided I would give an update. I decided to change the testosterone with anavar. So instead now i'm going to do an anavar equipoise cycle. Anavar 50mg for 5 weeks and equipoise 400mg for 6 to 8 weeks depending on my dick lol. I know this could potentially murder the little guy for a while but temporary erection problems beat out permanent hairloss to me anyday. Plus i'm already 230 lbs with like 20% bodyfat so I want to cut down. I'm going on a clean diet and some extra cardio so we'll see where this cycle takes me. But this cycle is pretty hair safe since Anavar and Equipoise are safe as far as hairloss is concerned, well atleast as safe as possible. So i'll start as soon as my buddy gets the supplies which I was supposed to get today but now it's looking like later on this week. And i'll keep everyone posted with my progress.

Yeah I'm gonna be starting Winny pretty soon too. I'm worried about the hairloss. I was originally going to do 6 weeks of it at the end of my Test/Eq cycle but I think I'll cut it down to 4 weeks. Hopefully I don't see any hair issues.

I used Anavar before and didn't see one side affect. Go for it bro, though low dose Test I still think would be a good idea.

Keep us posted on hairloss

Yo Conanx,
good luck with the Winny bro, I think 4 weeks is short enough that you shouldn't have much problems but again keep us posted. Yea I was thinking I might through some Test-E in the mix at a low dose of something like 200mg a week. But i'm curious to see how a cycle with no test will effect me, others have been curious on several other posts as well. Maybe I should play lab rat.

I think the side-effects of Finasteride should be mentioned here.

I'm currently on 500mg of Test and 400mg of EQ. I stopped taking Finasteride after two weeks. My sex drive went down to almost zero while on this medication. Like I said.... 500mg of Test vs 1mg of Finasteride and no sex drive!! Of course, this lead me to question the lab I bought from... but that's for another thread. Some quick research on the sides and you will see that many men have had some SERIOUS libido and impotence issues from Finasteride.... even for months after discontinuing the drug.

Everyone is different. But it happened to me. So I think it's worth noting.

Btw, I did an Anavar only cycle at 30mg e/d and didn't experience any side affects at all. Just got hard, strong, vascular, and gained a few lean lbs. But with Equipose, I'm not sure how you'll feel. Goodluck with it brother.

I already got some Var but I'm saving that for summertime. I want to try the Winny out and see how my body responds. :D

Yo Walrus,
So far i've been on finasteride for 3 weeks and I haven't noticed anything, my libido is as high as ever without any issues with impotence. I have read several forums about people posting the side effects of finasteride, usually related to impotence and sex drive but also some experienced gyno. There seems to be a divide between the medical tests and results and what is being posted on the forums. From what I gather there have been a substantial number of people that have had some effects on libido. I break them into 4 groups. The first group has no problems whatsoever, the second group has a few side effects relating to sex drive but it passes within a few months of continued use of finasteride, the third group has side effects that persist and stop taking finasteride in which the side effects go away in a week to a month, the fourth group has side effects that persist even after taking the drug for years even for the rest of their lives. Now that may be enough to scare a lot of guys away from finasteride but i'm skeptical and here is why. Firstly there were several studies done with over 500 men divided into two even groups. One group was given finasteride, the other was given placebo. Both had the same occurence of persisting side effects from use of finasteride. Yet the second group wasn't even taking finasteride and still 5% reported long lasting side effects of up to a year, the almost the same percentage of the first group that reported side effects. The other reason i'm not too worried is with all the medical studies done the drug was given a solid approval from the FDA, not an easy thing to do if people have permanent long lasting side effects. Most studies show that yes in a very small grouping of 2% of finasteride users there were some side effects that warranted them stopping the medication alltogether. I think many guys relate other problems causing impotence to finasteride when possibly there could be several other factors involved. And remember there are several other medications that are also related to side effects of impotence i.e. most anti-depressants. In the end if you are that 2% that doesn't respond well stay off the finasteride. Almost everyone who goes off is rid of the side effects in a relatively short period of time. I think the guys that claim permanent problems after taking finasteride are a bit paranoid and suffer from other mental issues. I've read some of the horror stories and many don't make sense. One guy said he took finasteride for 5 days and he was never the same ever since. 5 years later he says his LH levels were at 50% of what they were before hand. Well why did he take his LH levels before hand? Probably because he was already paranoid or had problems that warranted an endocronologist. Anyways I can't say for certain but I seriously doubt 5 days on finasteride will do that. And if so it didn't do it with me so I guess i'm one of the lucky ones. Anyways appreciate the warning Walrus, I'll definately keep anyone here posted if I have any irregularities.

Yo ConanX,

Good to hear yet another case of relatively little to no sides on the Var. Well see how it mixes with the Equipoise. Have fun getting ripped to shreds on the Winny:biggrin: , my buddy just finished up a winny cycle and he definitely got cut up. Keep us posted.

Thanks brother, I'm pretty pumped to start the Winny. I've always desired that dry, cut up look. Looking foward to it. I'll keep you updated when I start it (beginning of April).

Update: I take that back

Guys I feel it's my duty to protect my fellow brethren reading my forums. I thought I had it all figured out with finasteride and assosciated all the horror stories from it's use to being a placebo effect. I did a lot of research and all published studies showed finasteride to be relatively mild on side effects between 2 to 4%. I thought I was going good with no sides untill a few days ago a noticed tingliness in my nipples and my dick didn't get up with my girl for the first time in 4 years. First off I never had onset of gyno in my prior cycle of steroids with high doses of test. Then I take this little pill for about a month and I start getting sensitive in my nipples and my dick goes limp. So I did a bit more research and it turns out that the pharmaceutical industry knows all about these serious side effects from finasteride, just that the money is too good for them to go and spoil it for all those loyal finasteride users. Here is a quote from William Wong ND, PhD "The reasons are many but the primary ones are that: that pill kills your sexual function, can cause mutations in any babies you may happen to make while on the pill if you get to keep your sexual function, does not address your making estrogen, does nothing to improve your testosterone level and in short does nothing to make you healthier or feel younger!". There are many other PhD's like Dr. Wong. And a host of personal experiences finasteride users that report of lost libidos, permanent HPTA supression, and worse permanent limp dick, read up for yourself at propeciahelp.com. The Physician’s Desk Reference (PDR) states that the side effects of finasteride,(Proscar/Propecia) occur in less than 2% of the users. Physicians who specialize in the treatment of hair loss typically tell a different story-that the reported side effects from their patients are more in the 30-40% range, now from personal experience I agree.

The “don’t confuse us with the facts” mainstream medical community stands by the “less than 2% incidence” reported in the PDR. Proscar has been on the market for 16 years, Propecia has been on the market for 10 years.
"Gynecomastia, (breast enlargement in men) almost inconspicuously appeared on the side effect lists a few years ago. We have been helping men resolve this emotionally and cosmetically taxing side effect long before it appeared in the PDR, and based on the voluminous feedback we’ve gotten, we’ve concluded that this a not too uncommon occurrence." this comes from

Walrus you were right homes that shit is bad. I've been off for 4 days now and already the dick is back, the tingliness went away, and I want to fuck every girl moving again . Well now i'm starting my cycle officially today, I was waiting for the finasteride to have more time to acclamate in my system before starting but fuck that no more finasteride for me. I'm using mild compounds anyway (go back to beggining of thread for those just tuning in).
