steiner/coleman picture

thats a tough call. wonder if they measured those bitches. big poppa pumps peak is crazy though, even if ronnie got bigger size.

ya, steiner is still very impressive. He's not even a bodybuilder.
steiner i bet has 22 inch guns....coleman prob like 24

I know Steiner's gut sticks out a bit... but have you SEEEEEN Ronnie's lately!?!? GEESH! :)

Don't know about whos physique is better...both are freaks, but I can guarantee you that Steiner is stronger.

bench press contest like with HHH!!!!! this time they go for it for real though!

Bench is not the only indicator of strength. But yes, I would have to think Scott is capable of a 600lb bench press. I have seen him in the gym more than once, and he is like a bulldozer. He reminds me a bit of Animal, who had a 600+ bench press.

The thing that impressed me was his overhead military presses with 405 for reps. Is Ronnie really that strong too? Maybe so, but I haven't heard that Ronnie is among the strongest of bodybuilders. I thought Tom Prince was the frontrunner for that title? Or maybe Kovacs (unless he is all hype?)

In any event, Steiner is stupid strong. I think we can all agree on that point, yes?

I'm pretty sure Ronnie is considered one of the strongest bb's out there...for example, in his video he works up to a deadlift of 805 for 2 reps...then he flat db presses 200lb dbs for 12 reps...then front-squats 585 for 4 reps (that was a bit too heavy and he went down to 490lbs for 10 reps)...he also did bb rows with 490lbs for like 7 or 8 reps.

and this was all while 5.5 weeks out from a contest. There's plenty of other impressive lifts in the video too...if you haven't seen it, it's definitely worth buying (or downloading).

I'm sure that Steiner is a great bencher but Coleman did a lot of powerlifting back when he trained with Steve Goggins. Overall I'd have to give the 3 lift total to Coleman.

dude coleman would kill steiner. Video shows coleman deadlifting 800 twice. Ain't no way steiner could pull that off.

Ronnie's Arms shit on Steiner's.

Couldn't agree more. Colemans arms have fullness for days on steiners arms. Personally I think steiners arms look like shit with that 5 inch gap between his forearm and bicep when he flexes.

yeah, but can he gorilla press a 300 lb guy overhead (for reps lol) in the middle of a ring? :FRlol: i wanna see that one!

Agreed. Just comparing the arms, there is no comparison. Ronnie's are WAY thicker and more complete. Both damn big boys though...

Technique has a lot to do with lift totals. Ronnie is no doubt very strong. 805 deads are hard to imagine. I didn't know Ronnie could pull that.

Again, though, specialized lifts indicate several things. After all, Arcidi benched better than 700. You think he is as strong as Ronnie? Anthony Clark benches over 800, but I don't think he dead lifts 805 for three reps.

The most impressive strength I have ever known about, in terms of lifts, has to be Dave (I forgot his last name...Palinetti??), who squatted 855 to the floor three times in an exhibition he gave at a school in Atlanta, Georgia. Fellow died in a car crash, I believe. Anyone know who I am talking about? Last name might be different.

In the week before the Olympics in 96, Tereninco (sp) came into Coffee's gym and pushed 495 over his head several times. He also gripped the meter to 200 lbs with one hand, insantly.

Big Joe Majors, another powerlifter who lives in Atlanta, used to come into Coffee's and crank out some serious lifts.

Curtis squatted around 900 at a body weight of 265.

Even Lex Luger surprised me in the gym. This guy could really push wome weight around, too. Very strong. Lex said to a friend of mine that Animal was the strongest man he had ever met, bar none.

Anyway, its interesting to think about who is the absolute strongest.

anyone else think steiner may have a little synthol in those arms? they are pretty freaky, but sometimes they seem to have an odd shape to them.

It's not synthol, he had a bicep surgery a while back and that's why he has a wierd shape on that bicep (right). His left is also smaller and a different shape.

Are those 2 pics both to scale? I'm pretty sure steiners arms are bigger than 22 inches. Probably closer to 24 or 25 IMO. Ronnie is way bigger and probably stronger. I think Ronnie did a little too much GH and now hes one ugly mother fucker. I mean the guy looks like a monster with his nose stretching halfway accross his face. If I had to look like one of the two it would be Stiener. I just think Ronnies horse face is too much to handle, and his fucking guts are spilling out in front of him. Big poppa pump is your hook up, holla if you hear me. Sorry Ronnie, please don't hurt me.:D

Not hate on Ronnie, but a lot of those supposed workout videos use tricks to make the weight look much heavier then it really is. The favorite trick is plates made out of wood or aluminum. His lifts are very impressive but i watch Power lifeters all the time and if he really did have those lifts, especially when dieting then he would be a world record holder.

This method of using wooden or aluminum plates was talked about years ago when MM2000 started hitting the market, this was before the magazine got pussyfied.

That's an interesting thought...never thought about the other side of things regarding that video.

geez, looks like you don't need to see ronnie's video..you've already seen lifts like that in person :)

btw - are you talking about animal the wrestler? (from road warriors and legion of doom)...if so that's pretty interesting, I remember him wrestling but never thought of him as a real powerhouse...probably cause it was on tv and he didn't showboat his power like others do.

yeah i know, take a poll and ask everyone who they'd rather be.....big poppa pump or Mr. O himself.....most would want to look like steiner. their both kinda ugly though.....steiner might look a little better. lol. :D

The real question is who uses the least synthol?

coleman. steiners got more in his right arm than colemans got in his whole body. :)

Now that I think about it, steiners arm looks like its a relatively "normal" arm on synthol. Funny, I never thought about it before.

Yeah, I bet ronnie would run out of breath and fall down in the ring if he tried that. Then he would crawl back into his turtle shell!!!

First, i think that pic was taken at the 2001 Arnold, or around that time. Steiner definately is bigger than that now. Also, Steiner isnt as big as coleman, but his training is not geared directly at building muscle, theres a lot of cardio,(from the wrestling) involved that wont let him get that huge.-WULF

Hey Dum Dum's!!!

No shit..... ya think Ronnie looks better....gee I guess thats why Coleman is Mr. Olympia...ans Steiner is Freakzilla......as for their strength accolades.....Steiner's bench is a shitload better...and is around the 685 mark not 600....( he is actually stronger than Animal in that regard)....but as far as hands down three lift total....Coleman is the champ......I would venture a guess that off-season totals are sick....I have only seen him workout close to a contest though.....( I own a gym, and my best friend owns a gym in TX...so this is how I have seen them both in their element)...at any rate they are both retardedly huge freaks of nature.....GUNTHER or CUTLER for Mr. Olympia 2003!!!!!!!!

I agree. Ive seen several Body builders train, and beleive me most of them are way weaker than power lifters. Ronnie is a BB and simply cannnot afford to risk injury, especially 5 weeks b4 the olympia. Do u really think he would be dead lifting 805 lbs. If he is then watch out ED COAN

BTW: Steiner rules.

LMAO!!!!

Not EVEN close dude - I have seen him max out at 405 for sets of 6-8.....he tries 685 and he will get buried.

animal is a strong mutha. i used to work out with his son at animal's gym in Minnesota when i lived there. he gave me countless tips when i was there. on a side note, he's also a hell of a football coach. :)
