I was curious to which EF members prefer and which provides greater benefits

Do you use this on cylce/off cycle - does it matter?

sauna all the way. i sit in the sauna for 15 or 20 mins after every workout. it gets alot of toxins out of you, and from what ive heard its good for the skin as well. but the main reason i use it is to keep bloat away, get rid of excess water.

steam for me. not ED though and definately not more than 5-10 min and i drink lots of h20 in their

Saunas are actually bad for the skin and lungs. Breathing recirculated hot air. Use a little oil on your skin to allow for a quick sweat.

Steams are better for the skin and lungs but a they're a breeding ground for bacteria. And naked men. Ekk.

I just wear a sweat belt when I train.

i agree, sweatsuits are the shit! i use the steam room, tho'. saunas are too hard on my sinus'. i feel like ill get a bloody nose if i stay in there too long. steam rooms with some menthol spray opens everything up. theres always the chance there'll be some naked dude doing stretches in there.(which is def. not cool.)

neither i use a sauna suit when i go on the thread mill atleast 1 time a week .. maybe more if im holding lotta water

infrared sauna's are the way to go, you sweat like 10x as much as you would in a traditional sauna, and it's good for your skin and I always feel totally rejuvinated after I've used it.

Infared saunas? Sounds awesome. Acela why is it our state is full of these queers ??? I am from the Cape so you know what I am saying.

Steam is disgusting and unsanitary

Sauna is good is short burst of time coupled with "cold plunges' in ice water

The desert in summertime gives a nice sauna effect and the air is fresh

Steam! We had one at the gym i loved it so when i remodeled my house i put a steam unit in the shower with seats (tile)It really relaxes and open those pores after a workout ,when you're thru just shut off and turn on the shower ,by the time you're thru the steam is gone.

Word my brother... I live in Arizona where you can cook an egg on your fuckin head in July. I personally own a Far Infared sauna NOT steam and I love that bitch! Its got some kind of Air Ionizer and some other hi-tech shit.
Oh yea and a Bose system... sound like a recording booth when you got the tunes on.

I train at a nice gym but you couldnt drag me into that nasty ass bio hazzard steam sauna they have.

I like the sauna, its gets a lot of toxins out of your body. Sometimes I bring a set of dumbells up in the sauna and do a killer workout. The floor is soaking wet when I'm done. It really loosens up my muscles and the next day I always feel great. I also drink a lot of water during that workout for obvious reasons. I'll take a sauna over steam anyday. But if the gym I went to had both (it doesn't), I would probably start in the sauna and finish in the steam...
I love a good shave after a hot steam.

That would be me. Dry hot air is bad for the skin. Breathing in 120 degree temps void of moisture is irritating to the lungs. You need scientific literature to have that backed up?

My gym has a sauna and a steam room and I spend 10 minutes in the steam room after every workout before my shower. It is relaxing and rejuvinating and much better than a sauna IMPO but I agree that it does need to be kept clean and fortunately the staff do a pretty reasonable job doing so.

15 min spa, 15 min sauna, 15 mintues steam, then 5 seconds in a cold plunge pool.. THE best circuit!

Don't know if it helps but damn is feels incredible!

in a dry sauna the temp can get somewhere near 160 or greater in some cases,,this is damaging to the skin and causes massive free radical damage to your body,,not to mention nuke your testicles and greatly increase your risk of lower sperm count, motility, and abnormally shaped sperm,,,a much better option is a lower temperature 110-120 and higher humidity tobreak a sweat..once in a while after a workout i will use the gym sauna if i can get there early in the morning when they first open before the sauna had time to heat up to "oven" temperature(i hate it when they set the dial to 10) i always try to put it back down to 5,,some gyms have a lock box covering the dial,,one time i cracked open the plexiglass cage it was encosed in and turned it down to 5, one time i opened up a paperclip to change the dial through a small opening when i could not rip the cage off the wall(i feel like macgyver sometimes), i always throw warm water on the rocks to create maximum humidity..

there are several articles on sauna and its acute effect on hormonal profile,,there is some evidence that there is a GH burst but with a concurrent rise in cortisol levels...does have a way of increasing appetite through some mechanism,,..i would love to have a low temp hot tub like 99-100

I've been looking into getting a sweat belt, any suggestions where to get a quality one or it doesn't really matter? Thanks

this thread is not about steroids. This forum is about the closest thing I could find to what it belongs in. It deff does not belong in the steroids forum. I know people use this method for slimming off a few pounds before a contest so I guess this would be the best place for it. Try not to make off toic threads in the steroid forum guys. Thanks
