Starting weight???

30 years old, 5'7, 193 lbs.....

I just starting dieting to get ready for a new bulk cycle. I've been as heavy as 235 lbs. and as low as 165 lbs. I sure like the idea of starting really lean this time. By looking at the pictures, what type of weight range do ya'll think I should start at? BF%....etc

The pic is too small, but you look like a beast. Glad to have you on the boards FF.

What are your measurements? Biceps, Waist, and Quads? What is your current BF%?
 
Biceps = 17.5
Waist = 33.5
Quads = 27.5
BF% = Your guess is as good as mine???

I will have my wife take some better pictures later.
 
well the folks here can help mroe if you tell more -

My guess is Bi's 18", Waist 35", Quads 29"

But you tell us - and flexed - nothing here at EF is measured limp - NOTHING.
 
Looks like good overall mass bro. Can't really give opinions on proportionality without more pics and better quality.

More picture soon. I need my wife to get some good ones. It's pretty hard to hold that stupid camera in the mirror and get a good shot. No, I have never done a show. I might next year if I like my look. I will not go on show unless I'm tip-top! Lot's of work still! Any ideas on how low I should get in weight before starting this bulk cycle? I'm like a tree trunk and really don't want to start to heavy or look out......huge - huge - huge with big waist and mid - section.
 
Personally, Ii'd go on a maintenance diet (calorie range wise)... and keep reps "mid range" (10 tops... 6 low)... and get the cardio wheel churning... 20-30 minutes 4-5 sessions per week.

Do you have any specific time period in which you're looking at to start the bulk?

You should know what works best for you bro :) seems like you've done well in the past with putting on muscle... unless u popped outa your mother in a double bi pose :lmao:
 
Well....

My diet is about 2300 cal. w/100 carb. 300 protein....etc. It's clean and doing well. I started it about 40 days ago and have lost about 20 lbs. I really think it might be good to start this one at about 165-175 lbs. I do quite a bit of cardio now. Anywere from 20-60 minutes 4-5 times a week. I'm going to start in 45-60 days I think. I want my weight just right this time. I think I'll put on better looking size if I start low.
 
What type of cardio are u doing?

HIIT is amazing IMHO.... high intensity interval training.

just 20 minutes and I want to die most of the time...great for metabolism boost FAR after you've left the gym :)
 
3 different types:

Run as fast as I can for 2-3 miles = 15-20 minutes

Run slow for 30-45 minutes - Used after legs are so sore I can't do anything but...

Cycling @ 23 MPH for 60 minutes - Don't laugh! I see you! I know I don't look like a "cyclist" but I love it.
 
ok, nice...that's a LOT of cardio, IMO.

I'm really not sure what you want us to tell you.

Seems like you know what you want to do, you're just not to sure what Poundage Number to stop at.... go by the mirror I say.

#'s are #'s and composition can change (LBM and BF).

Use the mirror... start bulking when ur done cutting :)
 
Not a problem bro.

Number are just numbers... Keep that eye open... mirror.

Not sure if u know or not... Keep H20 intake up too... 1 gallon a day at minimum on average... helps keep us full inbetween feedings too.
 
Sure. About 3 gallons when training away from work and about 1 gallon when I'm at work. I hate being at work and having to piss all day. I'm a Firefighter and can't tell you how many times I've been "on scene" and had to piss like a race horse!

Sarge this guy is a real freak - I trained legs w/ him on Monday and he likes to squat 225 x 20 for 4 sets (his legs are wider than long ... lol) . This guy is a FREAK........ I think the # is going to be closer to 165.

Yo FF - post up your bulk and let Sarg/others critique - It's nothing fancy but I sure am excited....... this is going to be ALOT of fun. You'll get better advice in the diet area....even for AAS suggestions....

Nothing personal FF, but your son has much better lats..... and his underwear is way cooler than yours.
