Squats and more squats....

Felt good today and hit all my goals easily.

High bar squat past parallel by about 4-8 inches close stance 95x12, 185 x 10 was getting psyched on this one, 255 x 8 felt strong and in the zone:) , 315 x 8 no problem felt sluggish on last two though:confused: , 315 x 8 I owned this set with authority and probably could have done 4 more easily, exploded out of the pocket on each one with ease.;) up 10lbs

Front squat 145x6, 165x6, 185 x 6 felt good to do these again, good on form I might add, did get some funny looks though:rolleyes:

SLDL 145 x 8, 165 x 8, 185, 8 all set were done with slight bend in knees, felt real good and tight. up 20lbs

Supersetted leg ext and hamstring curls
150x10/75x10
200x10/100x10
200x10/115x10 these destroyed my legs :D

I have to say sprints are defenitely helping out a lot on explosiove strength and endurance during my lifts

calf raises 150 x15, 200x15, 200x15, 200x15

How often do you squat and run sprints? Once a week with weights and once running or run twice and squat once or what?

I'm about to start squatting twice a week :o

I run twice a week and squat once every six days. I find when I sprint my squat speed goes way up and I have a stronger lockout. my sticking point changes more toward the bottom of the lift, right above the pocket rather than in the pocket. My routine basically looks like

D1 Back/traps/ sprints
D2 Chest/bis/abs
D3 rest
D4 Delts/tris/ sprints
D5 Legs/calves/abs
D6 rest

my workouts only last about 45-55 minutes and boxing session three times a week for 45-50minutes.

true, but I want steady progress and not big jumps in weight so my form stays perfect and my stabilizng muscles grow at the same rate. I went up 20lbs last week and 10 the week before and now 10 this week. I should get 10lbs more next week as well. all at a bodyweight of 182 right now.;)
