I'm still not sure I hit parallel with many of these reps...but I am getting closer and under more control. I plan to do something similar to this every week...

I can tell that I am still leaning too far fwd AND I am not taking the bar low enough on my back. I also can not grip out wide YET...but should have that fixed by next week!!!

Thanks...

So you are saying that the 2nd rep with 405 looked deep enough?

I always thought that the top of hip crease had to be inline with the top of the knee to be called parallel as far as powerlifting goes

Judging from the pics, your about an inch or two off that :)

I feel the same way. I am still having confidence, bar placement, and stance issues. All of these are hurting my depth I do believe.

I'll get there though...it only takes time.

No I was saying that 405 #2 was the only one that looked shallow. The rest are very close hard to tell without a clear view of you hip line.

thats what makes that section even better.............. time, sticking with something for a long period of time............. thats what seperates a champion, from a wannabe........... you my friend, are a champion!!!!

B-Fold,

From the looks of your squat, I would say that going heavier seems to help. To me it looks like you go a little deeper when you do so. To me the first set with 405 looked a little shallow. However, I am not a certified powerlifting judge. Don't worry, all good things require time.

Good to see things moving well, had my competition and training partner have his knee scoped last week and I hate to see surgery on people. You try box squatting as a form of rehab instead of free squatting ( I mean heavily)?

Not sure what you mean....what would you suggest?

The problem is in my hamstring (as well as mentally) right now...

I meant working up to a heavy single on a box intsead of free squatting to a heavy max, but your right the mental side is the hardest part to go through. You could always focus on conditioning a little longer to insure a full recovery-that will help mentally also-before working back into heavy stuff. Strength takes alot longer to diminish than conditioning.

I'll give that a go on Wednesday...
