Spartan race preparation

What kind of lifting regimen would you guys focus on for preparation for a spartan race? Probably a lot of cardio and running right ?
 
Yeah sounds like you already have the start of a good plan. Probably lots of body weight resistance exercises as well.
 
I have no idea what spartan race is but doesn't sound like a walk in the park. So yes, having good stamina is probably a plus.
 
you would train for it like any race. whatever it will be, do tempo training at 60-70%, with a high intensity training day mixed in once every week or two.. that is the most dummy proof way to train for it.

the more you train for it, without over training.. the better you will do.. and make sure you get good rest the 2 nights prior to it
