Soy vs. Whey protien

Any thoughts? I've seen some articles that claim soy lowers male testosterone and can shrink the boys. I still have to search PubMed, but anyone have any educated comments on this one?
Thanks!

After reading so much anti soy and then so much stuff about its bad rap I landed on the following line of thought.

Its not going to hurt your gains its just not that great of a protien either for building muscle. I eat soy burgers occasionally. oh and Soy protien powders taste like ass (accidentally bought one once yuckl)

What about soy bars? I got a deal at costco on some Bio protien bars and would hate for them to not do what they're supposed to. They're 21 grams of protien per 81g bar which is not too bad, but not the best I've ever seen either. They contain biocytein, which is engineered synthesis of whey protien concentrate, milk protien isolate, soy protien isolate, caseinate, whey glutamine, peptide blend and egg albumin.
Thanks again!

soy raises estrogen in men, so try to avoid it

No studies have actually been done in men to prove that. Its only been drawn from conclusions from other studies conclusions which were drawn from the likes of testosterone.net and other such wannabe media grabbing sources. You are far too one sided and short stated in many things you say. I certainly hope much of what you say is greatly ignored by many. It offen makes no sense, has no bearing, over simplified, over exaggerated, or down right wrong.

And like many things it may have an extent to which is good does start doing harm, take Vit A its healthy up untill you exceed certain amounts at which point it becomes toxic.

For all soy haters:

please post any study / reference

... not that BS from Testosterone which is NOT partial (they sell whey products)

EAT ME!

I agree with enock about soy protein. I take isomatrix which has whey isolate, micellar casein, soy isolates and egg yolk protein. This protein is also time release over several hrs, and new to the market.
