soy protein? is soy protein really bad? cause i consume whey protein, eggwhites, chicken, sometimes steak for cutting and i was wondering if takin soy protein once a day its no harm rite?

Actually, I was at a seminar about 3 months ago, down in Virginia, and the fact is that, Soy-Protein lowers estrogen (not testosterone). I talked to a number of colleagues and they all agreed, but again, the internet has a lot of opinions. I do stand by the fact that soy protein is very good for your health, and does not raise estrogen level nor lower testosterone levels.

All things in moderation are good, and this includes soy. Just don't try to live exclusively off of soy protein.

so will help make you harder and keep you leaner

I wouldn't drink it regularly, it is an excellent source for pregnet woman though, that should tell you something but what do I know.

From what i read i heard soy protein is meant for women, and whey is for men. hope this helps

I don't think certain proteins are made for each sex. I mean they blend soy and whey all the time. Soy is very good for you and besides being a rich protein source (low to nonexistant carbs and fat) it is good for you in other ways. I'm sure a search could be done on it and I don't know many of the specifics but soy is absorbed at a slower rate than whey so any time other than immediately post workout it would remain in your system rather than excreted. Soy is also good for your heart for some reason. I'm no expert so maybe someone else can help explain this.

Bump.
