So, what's with asexual people?

Do you know anyone like this that don't desire or seek sex with anyone, or even themselves? It seems being like that would be depressing. It's obviously kind of a weird and very unpopular way to be. However it seems a lot of intelligent people are this way. Maybe there's some liberating freedom found in it, without having that part of life to tend to....if perhaps they have grown to see it as a chore of some sort. I wonder how people come to be this way.

Which in itself proves that "marriage" isn't biologically natural; even for us advanced humans.

i know someone like this.
closet homosexual if ya ask me. and very repressed- no masturbation on their schedule.

which reminds me.... what time is it?

i went through a phase like that I think. mostly severely depressed libido brought on by hormonal birth control

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but that's shallow thinking. The human psyche has more variables and contingencies than A/B, black/white, on/off, etc.
Everyone's life experiences are different, and unjudgeable by anyone else.

My ex-hubbie was not big into sex, but I wouldn't call it asexual because he loved me and was a good hubbie. He just rarely wanted/needed sexual contact.

That could be classic asexual behavior though. It varies, according to the links I gave.
