You can only tell her your opinion and that you are afraid for her health. After that, it is sort of like trying to convince an alcoholic to quit drinking. She will just have to come to her own conclusion that she needs to stop.

I once dated a bodybuilder. At the time, I was a fitness instructor and was in great shape. He always wanted me to be different, though. He tried to get me to inject equipoise and winny. He would put knee straps on me and have me squating ridiculous weights. The bar was so heavy that I felt my vertebrae just squishing when I lifted it off the rack. I told him to go jump in a lake. LOL.

At least she has a good friend who is telling her that she doesn't need to take this risk. Hopefully, she will get some common sense before she hurts herself.

Let her do her own thing. You're just getting your first taste of this kind of thing. Sometimes it's really frustrating knowing someone isn't doing the right thing for their diet or whatever, but they will usually give you all the reasons in the world why they do it the way they do - right or not.

I've got a client who's lost 50 lbs so far using Weight Watchers. She doesn't train AT ALL other than cardio  ..... but no matter what I say, she's seeing results (for now), and so she's not concerned with how I've tried to help her. When she stalls out, she'll be asking questions.

I also refer everyone with diet or training questions here. Some check it out, some don't. The one's who don't will be forever searching....
I quoted you SG :)
