Dont like each other :)

I've been trying to get big recentlly over the past 2 months, not getting any big gains however, but I am going up.

But I think at 240lbs, 6'0 and 19 years old, im not eating enough? Ive been losing weight SLOWLY, like 1 pound every 1-2 weeks. Def fat as it is noticable, but im eating very healthy/low calorie intake, probablly around 2,500-3,000.

I want to get much bigger then what im at, but I want to drop my weight at the same time, should I lower my body fat? (probablly near 20%) before bulking up, or work on the body fat first?

Im thinking im gonna have to up my calorie intake up near 5,000 to gain any size, (taking about 240-260g of protein with the 3,000calorie diet)

Also, at 5,000ish calories, what should I be eating?

Any opinions? :D

Asthetics are an individualistic thing. Some folks can live with 20% bf and be just fine. Others have 20% and are freaked totally out.

First, you will have to decide which camp you are in. If you feel fat now, then it would be best to concentrate on fat loss(my suggestion by the way), till you reach a more ideal bodyfat.

It is very hard if not impossible to bulk and get lean at the same time, as you are finding out, and many others have. It is touted as possible, but this is normally manipulation of numbers that achieve this.

It is in fact almost impossible as noted, as inherently the types of diets to do either contradict each other. To cut, (lose bodyfat), you need a caloric deficit, to gain, you need a caloric surplus.

Hope this makes sense.
