So how long does it take to achieve "the look"?

We'll i've been lifting for almost 2 years, just a few weeks away from my 2 year anniversary. At first I was just fooling around, but thank God, i research a lot, so that helped me out to get my diet in check, and proper workout in the first year. I know many struggle with a bad routine and diet for many years, so I'm happy It happened like that. So the first year i went from 155 to 170, 6'2"slow gains, not much results, same o'l week sausage link. Second year from July, started whole new diet and lifts, and went from 170 to currently 200lbs, all under 12% bf, really happy with the results so far. Haven't taken any sups, planing on in near future. Also planning to do a few cycles in 1-2 yrs. I'm slowly developing, but hit this platoe, for 4 month havent gained a pound, tried increasing calories, switched routine, noting works, stuck on the same strength lever.. frustration is kicking in!

So guys, how long until one looks perfect? I think in 2-3 years with a few cycles under my belt I'll look really good. Lol, but my family is tripping, they say I'm getting too big.. i just want to get to 240lbs 8% bf, its my passion, they dont get it.. sucks!

Dude, i'm not sure what you're asking here....

You're asking how long till you look perfect?? really?

well...that depends on what your definition of perfect is. If perfection = looking like Branch Warren, it's going to be...let's see....probably never...or maybe if you have prefect genetics and diet spot on and unlimited budget, about 25 yrs...

Does that answer your question?

Also, 240 lbs at 8% BF in 2 years??? and you say you've researched?? I say you have unrealistic goals....and you need to read up a lot more about this shit.

If by "perfect" you mean the way a top level BBer looks, the answer is:

1) For most guys with average genetics, never.

2) For the minority with amazing genetics, a LOT longer than the time frame you're suggesting.

Plus 'perfect' is entirely subjective, so there is basically no answer to your question I'm afraid.

I went from 154-215 in about 3 years when I first started. But I still looked skinny at 215.

...and it depends on how you want to "look".

Yeah it really depends on your goals.
Do you want to look like a stocky fck that people dont want to mess with?
Or maybe a ripped Calvin Klein model body type?
Or anywhere in between, this is a question that cant be answered by anyone but yourself.
