My trt doc told me to work my way up to 10 mg. Not saying you're wrong, I was just following my docs instructions. Just curious, why do you say its dangerous? It isn't a CNS depressant as far as I know, so what is the risk?

Dependancy issues are always a risk with sleep-aids. Limiting them to the minimal effective doses is the best bet to avoid this.
There have been many studies that have shown that melatonin reaches a peak effectiveness level, and anything beyond that yields no added benefit. For me, anything over 3mg is the same as 3 mg....

That makes perfect sense, more is not better. Why does my trt doc want me to take 10 then? He says he takes 10 mg sublingual every night. He deals a lot with AAS users and even does over the phone cycle consultation with labs and helps with PCT. I figured he knew his stuff but maybe not.

I'm not saying your doctor is a jackass, because there are some pretty good ones out there, but most people are fooled into thinking doctors have all the answers, when in fact most have no clue.
Yours sounds like a decent guy for an AAS user to go to, but ALWAYS get a second opinion and do your own research before you take anything or recieve treatment for something. Most doctors don't know shit about the human body aside from their specific area of study

3-4 tbsp of all natty pb knocks me the fuck out while on tren ( of course a little bit of caber before bed keeps the sides at bay too )

well you can google more about melatonin, but I was referring to testosterone levels when not on juice. I also find that going up to 10mg comes crazy, crazy dreams.....wayyyy more lethargy in the morning than on a lower dose (which you wake up feeling refreshed), and there are several other things. GNC doesn't even sell it above 5mg for that reason and the fact that some people abuse them because they can make you hallucinate at higher dosages (i used to work there and we had a course on it).
i have seen dosages go up to 10mg, i tried it once and I will never do it again. 5mg is too much in my opinion too because you wake up lethargic. 3mg is perfect.

mrrailgrinder bro your doctor is one of those docs who only care about the means, not the end. (most docs are like that man, its what they are taught in med school) next ask him what happens when you become dependent. even natural herbs can cause dependency. NTBM sells n2sleep which i use on occasion and if you read the bottle it even tells you to not exceed X amount of days on. I keep it in my pantry for special situations where I stayed out late or i am gonna be travelling and want some sleep on the plane or car ride. there is a big difference between supps that are habit forming or addicting and supplements that help bodybuilders that you can run daily without worry about being stuck on them forever.
if you want to have to take shit for the rest of your life to help you sleep then by all means go for it. otherwise you need to re-think your strategy. personally if you have trouble sleeping on HRT that tells me your dose is probably too high or you have other issues going on with your life or even diet. are you consuming caffeine after 1pm? if so you should cut that out, that is keeping you up.
anyway if you just learn on tren to control your blood sugar and lower your damn dosage you shouldn't need anything ever on any AAS to help you sleep. if you want to maximize cycles fully and take full advantage of muscle building properties you gotta fix your sleep without the help of anything. sleep is CRUCIAL to building muscle. i don't care how swole you are if you aren't sleeping well you are leaving A LOT of gains on the table

I'm definitely going to question my doc. A quick Google search and I found mention of a study using 10 mg for 28 days with no toxicity on an anti aging website. He is part of the anti aging/ life extension camp so I'm guessing that's where he got his protocal from. I only have trouble sleeping when I'm not on testosterone which is one reason I'm on trt, but he recommends that for all his patients. I'm dropping my dosage because I didn't realize that was a super high dose, however, I've never had any ill effects like lethargy in the morning. I guess I'm lucky. I'll stop thread jacking now and let people chime in on dealing with tren sleep issues.
