Alright so i was wondering is their a sign or handshake, certain words in the gym like hey bro, or anything that is code for yea im on steroids and the other guy is like i know.? I know i will get tons of smart ass remarks but its all good i was just curious about this! In my gym the guys all say, "Sup bro how you eattin" And i found out its code for hows the juice. Anyways ...

my best friend for years is one of those fed types--every so often i get a package of orange juice in the mail---he writes "here is your juice order."

I had to explain it is called "gear" now....three weeks later, I get a rusty mt bike cogset in the mail--yep "here is your gear order"

i had a rather large bro catch two little round band aids on my delts--he did the head nod, smile, and pointed to my delts....so i was either being hit-on (doubtful) or reminded i am an idoit (probable)
 
basically like the other dude said, anyone who calls u "bro". its not just in the gym, but at clubs, bars, beaches etc.
 
Really it is no ones concern . If you are on juice or if they are.
I have lifted In many gyms over the years. People talk if you do not want the gym to know you are on then you can never tell anyone PERIOD. little ears are all over the gym that hear stuff and repeat it.
for example you might say " i did a dbol cycle 5 yrs ago "
little fag boys doing abs over heard you and runs to the locker room and tells his friends" i knew it he used roids"

Besides usually the juicers are looking for is a good deal on gear.
If the guy you ask is on juice,chances are he will try to sell you some
if you repley you get it cheaper then he will prob wanting you to hook him up.

its really a bad situation ether way. Just go to the gym and lift.

besides you did not get your hand out from the YMCA instructor on how to spot a juicer ?

I dont even look at people in the gym anymore. I go at odd times, always different and wear my mp3 all the time unless my workout partner isnt hurt. I find I wear the headphones a lot and it keeps a lot of the questions to a minumum. It also drowns out having to hear the local social club where guys lean on a bench for 20 minutes ago and talk about this or that and how big they used to be etc....

LOL yup same here Ipod and a few hundred tunes to the rescue.

Just a few weeks ago I walked over to the bench area and took out a earphone and said the gym owner told me to tell you guys " less sitting and more lifting " they all got up and started pressing away .
 
basically, if i see another dude who i can tell is juicin just by looking at them, i always show them respect and 'wutup bro' or 'hey bro whats goin on'...most know what it means

I train in two gyms right now (may be going to another one on Sunday to check it out, I like to spread the love around :) ).

Both are really sociable.

I just limit a lot of my conversations to before I start training or after.

Most of the lads have no problem when I say 'Hey, can I talk to you later, I want to get on with my training'.

I also tell them to post here if they want more advice, keeps the gym and the advice separate.

We have also had whole nights out with the gym, or a lot of us will go to watch BBing comps.

I really like it.

Sort of like having a local pub, but a lot healthier.

That is pretty cool. I would def pull the eagplugs to listen to you. If someone with obvious time in wants to have a word after a session, I usually dont have a problem with that but lets be real, most are posers and havent ever passed out or thrown up after a workout. Terrible form, no isolation on muscle groups etc... I have seen guys with WAAAAYYY too much weight throwing it up doing say curls and using back,shoulders, everyting to get it up. I use the lighter weight for the set and isolate and keep growing.

I see your point though :)

i've asked one dude at the gym and he laughed it off. i talk to couple other bros and there' cool as fuck. 1 competes. these 2 other guys, they do some type of martial arts. one benches like 405 pounds for a few. big dude. not ripped or nothing. other guy looks cocky as fuck. im walking past him and i hear him do a cough and say roids. pissed me the fuck off. now that i think about it maybe theyare trying to talk to me about it. but i took it as an insult on 130mg test prop ed 100mg tren ed. i dunno why.
 
In my gym if you see two or more guys having a conversation that lasts more than 1 minute it's usually about gear. We dont talk to small fuckers for more than few seconds as if saying GTF away from me.

Well all good answers. When i was on 6 months ago people I knew would
just come up and streight ask me whats up with the large gain of mass. Than i had surgery so when i came back to the gym i was alot smaller but more defined and thats when alot of the guys who i assume use gear started looking at me like damn that fool must have been on gear a few months ago and now hes cut as hell. I always had the same group of guys starin. But they ALWAYS use the term "Bro" and all that good stuff!

Honestly, I cant tell unless someone is just jacked up to hell. I KNOW a few cats in my gym walk in and everyone just looks at them and you just cant help it. I find myself watching my form in the mirror and out of the corner of my eye, I see this jacked mofo throwing weights around like a pit bull shaking a raggatty ann doll and I pretty much assume he is on something and it aint creatine.

I have got some size but I can shoot basketball pretty well too but I sure as hell am not going to the NBA.
 
Imitate the motion of sticking a needle in your shoulder. Or just do a most muscular and squeeze til your eyes turn red. They will get the idea.

If you're on steroids and you're not a total noob then there is no need for a secret handshake or any dumb shit like that. BB's can tell who is on and who isn't and honestly, who cares? Do your own thing and don't worry about if "Billy" is taking dbol or not.

mostly they don't look good
used to be no one in the gym was juicing (circa 1984)
now it's every third guy

I can tell after seeing a guy for in the gym for a decent period of time. I don't just assume built guys are on.

For example I just recently noticed a guy that looks like a cage fighter walking around looking alot smaller than he has for the last couple months. Like his whole body shrank. His traps used to pop out abit and his forearms and calves were ok. Now he actually looks kinda skinny to me. Plus he doesn't walk around with as intense of an air about him.

Things like this are what I notice over periods of time. I also tend to notice guys that ALWAYS wear hoodies or sweaters even if you can tell they are built. This is a great way to make it harder to notice fluctuations in size imo.

I dont understand why you would want to wear a hoodie. Especially to the gym. I used to see a guy at my gym all the time. I know he was a competitive BB'r. About 5'6" tall but he was at least 200 lb. Completely jacked. Always wore a hoodie and baggy sweats. Even outside the gym. WTF? I personally would want to show that shit off.

ever think maybe the guy cutting weight for a fight?? 205 guys walk around stacked at 230 and look like little boys when they get down to 205.
 
This guy was 185lbs tops when he was looking semi-jacked.

If he's cutting weight for a fight then he lost bookoo muscle inside of about a week.

I've been in the gym awhile man and I've seen guys cut weight.

Better off putting a suit on and shedding 20lbs water inside of a day than drastically cutting calories over a couple weeks.

You can rehydrate in a fairly short time. Regaining +10lbs of lost muscle takes abit longer.

it makes you look like a different person.

most mma fighters start coming down weeks out and cut the last 8-10 lbs the night before.
 
It's possible this is what is goin on. This guy was just an example I used because he's tattoo'd and looks and carries himself like a fighter.

That said I have seen this happen with random joe schmoe's in the gym.

Another obvious to me is when within a couple weeks time a guys delts, traps and lats fuckin blow up out of nowhere. Pretty tell tale to me.

I heard somewhere that there are more androgen receptors in these areas. Not sure if that's true, but I know my delts for sure seem to be one of the first spots to noticeably thicken up on use.

try it in your gym next time. say in a firm voice. i said a TEST, i said a TEST ENANTHATE... when the guy curling in the squat rack replies with "i said a 250 milligrams a week"

yeah man, agreed. Iv been boxing/muay thai for a few years, only since i fractured my hip that Iv started juicing and lifting instead. But FUCK can those guys cut weight.

The most Iv seen was *** ***** (aussie KB) cut down 11kg (24lbs) in 5 days. ALL water weight. Running, eating a few pieces of broccoli, not drinking, bath before bed, sauner during the day. Looked liek the dude had aids. Cut from 84 on monday to 73 on friday. But as you guys who are into it know, the weigh in is always 24 hours before the fight (in aus anyway). so bang, straight after the weigh in, head to TGI fridays and smash down the ribs, potatoes gatorades EVERYHTING. and bang you put back on about 8 kg. he ended up weighing 80kg again on the day. 6 more than his oppnonent.

unhealthy yes... but if your competing in boxing and can push yourself down 2 or 3 weight divisions before the fight and then throw 2/3's of it on again then you have HUGE advantage.

It just shows how much you can lose in water weight and catabolism.
