Signs/symptoms of hiv??

You can´t see if someone has HIV,people with HIV looks normal like someone without HIV, But they feel symptoms such as Low energy, headache, diahrrea, feber for more than 3 weeks, low apetite, redness signs in the skin, sleepness, lost of weight 10% of your normal weight with no reason!!!

I Hope this help you
Later!!!!

A sign that you might have been recently infected could be a bad cold that you just can't shake. There are plenty of warning signs of the conversion from being HIV+ to having AIDS. Thanks!

Its also possible that you get no symptoms at all.

@javolic - Im interested to know on what sort of time scale you could possibly get those symptoms? I understand that people sometiems develope a cold a few weeks after infection. Is the same time frame used for the other symptoms aswell? Or are they only when the infection has developed more?

I don't have HIV or AIDS but I read that some people can go for 10 years without any symptoms. If you think you might have HIV, I'd go get checked out. Sometimes you might think it's better not to know but you could infect other people which I'm sure you wouldn't want to do. Also, the earlier you find out, the more treatable it probably is. Obviously there is no cure for it, but you would obviously want to live as healthy and normal life as possible.

:rainbow: Well as far a signs of HIV, they will vary from one individual to the next. Some of the most common are as follows, but not in this order.
1.There may be a decrease in strength ( like when you have the flu)
2. Night sweats, these are not your normal sweats. Your whole body will be wet with sweat, some people have them so bad that they will actually sweat so much, that they will have to change the bedding. You will know when you have them.
3. Weight loss, for no reason.
4. Not wanting to eat.
5. Diahera, for long periods of time
6. Fever for long periods of time.
These are some of them. You can do a search on the internet for a more detailed list. Just search ....... HIV/AIDS, symptoms

As was mention in one of the post . If you feel like you may have been infected, go get checked. Its by far the easiest and fastest way to find out.

I have been Positive since 1992, so I know alittle about it.

Hope this will help........ ;)

I was wondering how do you cope mentally/emotionally with knowing you have hiv?

:rainbow:For me, it has nothing to do with coping. It becomes a part of your life. I basically live life just as you . Only difference is that I take my meds twice daily. I have never been one of those people who get "freaked out". When I learned I had HIV, I was already sick . There was no time for me to think about " when I get sick". My body had been at war for a long time, it was then that I learned I already had AIDS. I tell about my experince in the thread "How did you get HIV?"
The support around me is fantastic, always has been. Which I am very fortunate. Until all of the world comes to the reality of the whole thing. I fear there will still be those out there that will make it difficult on those of us living with HIV.
All I can ask is that people not be afraid, there is so much out there for us all to read and search on the internet, that it would no longer be an issue.

I "Thank You" for asking the question. Without questions, how else are you to learn?
Enjoy life, play safe...... ;)
