Hi, I am Chodolucci, Axe's wife. I couldn't figure out how to log on myself. I have been hanging around the site for awhile now and love the community. I wrote this post and sent it, but it disappeared, so if it shows up several times, my apologies.
A little background info. I am 5'9" and weigh 185-190 (not too concerned with #). I have been weight training since I was a teen and had a short stint with amatuer natural bb in my early 20's. I am a massage therapist/personal trainer and taught a cool dance/fitness class called NIA-very cool, if your are looking for something new. I did the Body for Life after my daughter was born (wt 162 12%bf). I took 1 1/2 years off from doing much of any exercise at all. Been back in the gym for the last 5 months and it feels great.
After years of deliberation, I decided to start using. For the last month, I have been focused on getting lean and strong, but not huge. I have good genes and even though I have a good bit of fat right now, I also have a lot of muscle underneath still (190 lbs? 28%bf? I haven't been tested, just guessing by the roll I can grab in my midsection.) Been getting my diet in line. Having a tough time with portion control ( I like to eat) and making sure to eat every three hrs. I have been training using the BFL 12-10-8-6-12-12 focusing mostly on intensity level, trying to hit a level 10 on the last super set.
I have been doing 2iu's of Serostim/ed will go for 6 months on/2 off/6 on indefinately and last week added 5mg loeffler var/ed will go for 3 months only. I am amazed at how strong I am after just a week, and bloated. I just finished my first period on and it SUCKED. I was sooo bloated and crampy and I have been having this weird tickle in my belly (the kind you get on a rollercoaster, only kind of painful) and a pain in the lower left quadrant of my guts. ( I think it is intestinal unless anyone thinks otherwise.)
My question is, how do I know if I should throw in the towel. I've decided to hang with it, having read posts that say the negs get better with time, but I have also read that some people just don't agree with var. And I am taking so little, I have to believe it will get better. And it feels great to really bust it and not be sore in recovery. I can't believe how strong I am.
My other question is how should my training change with this new found strength and endurance. Like I said before, I don't want to get huge and I don't want to injure myself, but it just feels so damn good to go heavy. Right now I am alternating upper body/cardio/lower body/cardio- one day off/wk. I have been mixing it up and breaking up body parts to see how hard I can push it and how sore I am after, but there is just no comparrison to when I am not juicing. It's GREAT. To lean up, I am focusing on cardio first thing on an empty stomach and monitoring carb intake.
I appreciate so much your encouragement and inspiration. Thank you in advance for time and consideration.
Peace and Joy,
CL
