I am 19, 6’1” in height, approximately 17 percent body fat, and currently 225lbs. I was originally 185lbs and it took a good two years of no exercise to reach 225lbs. I’m trying to figure out what is the best option to improve my health and physique. I hope to eventually lead myself into bodybuilding on a more competitive level. But for right now, I’m still in the introductory stages. I’m devoting 6 days of my week to exercise, and I’m gradually improving my diet. First, I removed fast foods, then desserts and whatnot. Now my questions are: 1. Should I bulk to gain muscle? 2. Start a strict diet to lower my body fat and then bulk? 3. Or should I gradually and generally pursue my goals of better health and appearance? I’d really appreciate everyone’s information/opinions! Thank you so much, gals and guys!
