Short Hair Styles?

Currently, my hair is long, BUT when it's been lopped off, I usually go for what my husband calls the 'Dana Scully' which only comes to my chin. The last time I cut it off, I went for what's known as a Middie. (The hair cut popular in the 40's and 50's.) The middie actually is very versatile and takes modern styling well, but it makes it easier to rock retro styles too.
My hair is long now, but I've chopped it all off a couple times in my life. Twice like Gennifer Goodwin and once like Victoria Beckham; the inverted bob. I loved the bob cut, I just like longer hair better. It's actually easier for me to style and less maintenance, as I can pull it up when I'm in a hurry and only style my bangs.

cangal- yes, it's shorter...pics don't do it justice or else i'd put it on here...but in person the front is noticably longer than the back

bass- oh please...i never wore it down so you can't say you liked it longer.. and be nice then or i'll take her to my hairstylist myself lol
my natural hair color is a lighter brown, but i started coloring it very dark brown (as dark as you can go before black), and i absolutely love it. makes my hazel eyes pop out! went back natural for a few months but missed my dark, so along with my cut, i colored it again...and next time i cut it i'll more than likely go a little shorter. sucks having to fix it so often, but i love it!

I just got it cut again, got her to stack it more and it's shorter in the back. I'll definitely have it short when I compete in April

Lolol it's not black tho. Its just dark brown. And I've been coloring mine since 2007 so HA!

I got mine cut even shorter yesterday... it's like a medium bob now. She had some nice colourful hair extensions that I'm liking.

That's pretty much what I did!!
My thoughts:
- When it was long I could wear it in a nice braid and it looked great and was easy!
- When it was long it was a drag to wash/style
- Now that it's short it's simple to wash & dry
- Now that it's short I really must style it, and I haven't got that down yet

Well, that was a fun thought while it lasted. I mentioned that I was thinking about chopping off the hair again to Hubby and he pitched a fit.
My next thought was to do a rainbow ombre on my tips. He doesn't like this idea either.... He's such a stick in the mud sometimes, but dammit I love 'im. So no fun stuff with my hair right now.
