well, i dont know how many of you know anything about me..but i was on this board a couple weeks ago. i'll tell you about myself..

im 14 years old, 5'9, 230-240 lbs..

before i learned how westside works and how powerlifting could be so much fun, i trained for hypertrophy. i was reluctant to stop to start strength training, so i gave westside a try for 1 week..it was fun but after that week i wanted to try some bodybuilding crap again to see which i liked better.(i know i havent been training for either purpose for very long, but i tried to give myself an idea.)

so i started a routine that was intended for strength and size gains, at least to my understanding. anywho, after about a week and a half of that, i pulled something in my back doing deadlifts. im not sure what i pulled but it sucks because i cant do much without probably making it worse..

so i thought about westside again..and the thought of making PR's constantly is very appealing...i also realized powerlifters could be big as well, so of course, im going with powerlifting..

now for my question for the day..first off, any advice for my back? it happened last wednesday. i wasnt pulling heavy, just like 205x20 but i had bad form on the 1st rep and i felt popping...it still hurts of course, but at first i thought the pain was on the left side more on my lower back near my tailbone..now it seems as if the pain has moved to the right side? any ideas?

im taking this week off and i dont know what to do the next week after...i was thinking just ME and DE bench?

thanks for any replies

Did youi finish theset of 20 reps. If so you could just be really sore from that. if its not a sharp pain than it could have been you just cracking a few joints like your juckles. Do your bench work and then work back into max days and speed dday slowly and see how it goes.

no, i didnt finish the set, i felt popping on reps 1 thru 5, then i stopped
