semen fertility analysis..just came from Doctor.trying to get wife pregnate

About 15 yrs ago when my wife & I decided to try & have kids I was coming off of a 3yr run of constant juicing. The gear that I was using at the time was test/deca/dbol & winny. After about 6 months of getting nowhere & watching her cry each month I went to see a specialist. He told me that my sperm count was zero....I was completely shut down. I immediately went on clomid therapy. It took me 6 months to get my count back to normal. Even after that it took us another 3-4 months before we conceived. I guess all I'm trying to say is I know 5 months is a long time but there are some of us who have been in the exact same situation before & it all worked out. Be patient, as hard as it is. Give it a bit more time. I'm sure if you stay on the clomid just little while longer your count will continue to increase. My sperm count reading was "above normal" by the time I was done taking the clomid....it just took longer than usual. Hang in there bro. You're doing the right thing. Good luck!

Btw, I have a healthy 12 yr old son & a healthy 10 yr old daughter.

My brother inlaw has some diesese where he has more women chromosomes than male--or more than he is supposed to have--so for the past six years he has been taking prescribed Test--never comes off of it---he also has lupus--they wanted to have a kid and he had a operation done where they cut him open and found some good swimmers--they then did invitro on her and she is now one month pregnant.--dont know if this helps at all--but even with long term use--sometimes constant use-kids can be concieved.

the cycle for spermatogenesis is 120 days, so if you were to take clomid for the next 4 weeks, you "shouldnt" see a rise in sperm count till around 4 months later

Squat800-My wife and I went to two fertility specialists in the 1990's. First off, how do you know that your sperm count/quality wasn't bad to begin with? Remember, your tests are just a snapshot in time. They could have been bad all along--unless you have fathered a child in the past. Second, there are no guarantees that your wife gets pregnant under any circumstances. I have read studies where men with lousy sperm fathered children and the wife was the problem. Third, you can't blame the AAS usage. There are no studies that show that proper AAS usage causes sperm problems. In fact, some specialists prescribe Testsoterone as part of the treatment. Do not self-treat this time. Go to a Fertility Specialist with your wife and both of you need to be examined/tested. The other point--FSH is the hormone that stimulates spermatogenesis. Clomid is known to stimulate FSH release. HCG won't necessarily help, for it stimulates testosterone production. Let the specialist sort it out and run the proper blood tests--don't do it yourself.
