be careful -

i was in a similar situation with a friend of mine. we were friends for a really long time and grew extremely close a couple of summers ago. as with many strong male/female relationships, i wondered that if we could be this close as friends, wouldn't we make an awesome couple?

we finally hooked up and ended up messing around with each other for a couple months. there was NO SEX involved. as time went on, i started getting bothered by things that he did (which never bothered me when we were friends). the dynamics of our relationship were changing and i did not like it.

the physical aspect of the relationship soon ended and we each started seeing other people. however, the friendship changed and he hated me for about a month (i started seeing someone else first).

well, we put this all past us and now we are very close again. i'm very happy we did not have sex!! i think that would have made it more difficult for us to stay friends.
