Some of these I took, some of them the other instructor took....the shark pictures without people in them are all mine. This camera had such a wide angle lense that I was actually two or three feet from the sharks when I was taking the pictures.

(I had them all hold hands on either side of me because there was a pretty good current going. Easiest way to keep track of them, plus I had two of the "problem children" in that group)

This girl had her tank strap come undone....took a picture of one of the boys in the class being a good dive buddy and fixing it for her.

Pre-incident I mentioned in the other thread. Notice the two girls at my right and how overly buoyant they were. It only got worse from there. (for those who didn't read the other post, I had to take all four to the surface off the boat because the other instructor made all four positively buoyant while we were diving to mess with me and see what I'd do. Still pissed off about it today)

I don't even care if someone fucks with me under water if it's just me. But with students involved, and he was right there and I was gesturing for him to help the girl to my far right, and he just sat there taking fucking pictures? No. I had it out with him about it last night.

Smurf, some sharks would scare me too....not these though. Never heard of an atlantic sand tiger shark biting a diver, in spite of how scary looking they are.

I like how you had them "on either side of you" you know to keep them together...

also makes for a good buffer zone, so you can "Keep them all safe"

the old adage goes, I don't have to be the fastest swimmer/runner, just not the slowest comes to mind..

lol we have that saying in diving regarding sharks too. But this was for real a safety thing for them not me haha. After all, I was getting right in their faces with the camera with no one else within 20 feet.

Yeah....wish I'd gotten him centered better, though. It was my first time using this camera and it was a rather elaborate two handed deal. Took me a while to get used to it and once I had, the other instructor took it from me and gave me the kids so he could get shots of us.

Thanks, woot! I dive with those beauties every week, usually in better conditions than that (bluer, clearer). I can't complain at all though, even in mucked up water those sharks are such an experience. It never gets old.

We get snakes in our lakes...Rattlesnakes too.


My dad was skiing once and ran right over the top of a snake with his ski. He said the whole time he was thinking to himself "don't fall, don't fall!"

Last year some bish got bit by a rattler in the water at the other lake here.

eels are just as sketch and are found in inland lakes as well.
i gurantee you though in northern michigan i could take you to some sick inland lakes that have no shady creatures that will nibble on your toes.

awesome pics nef, never been scuba diving before though i rock the scba for work...takes a minute to get used to the restricted breathing, easy to burn thru your tank as a n00b

c-dubs has seen enough of my scuba pictures to know that the sharks I dive with are sand tigers. He really actually was just asking how she'd feel about one of the more docile shark species that are fairly abundant in the waters by where HE lives.

Spy - no apples haha, but I was treated to dinner each night and I got a bunch of facebook requests haha

Good grief, stop it. One person said that at the gym. But I've heard it plenty with other stuff since then hahaha.

Someone complimented me on my great form swimming recently haha. He also said I was a "powerful girl" based on how quickly I moved through the water.
