At this point in the cycle I will only be on 500mg of testosterone. I am having to have my tonsils removed due to several severe tonsil infections over the past year. Should taking testosterone have any negative effects on being under anesthesia? Should I let the doctor know that I am using testosterone injections prior to the surgery? From what I hear its a fairly quick and easy procedure and lasts only 30 minutes but I will be put to sleep.

It could raise your bp.

I had a face lift about 2-3 weeks after a cycle and my bp went up to 200/110 and I had to taken back to the hospital for more surgery. Test Enth was still in my system.

I am supposed to have my wisdom teeth removed sometime in the next few weeks and when I told my doc that I had been given decadron injections and prednisone about 11 months ago she told me they would have to give me more decadron before putting me under. Why? I don't know. Decadron and prednisone are both corticosteroids not anabolics so this may be totally different. I didn't tell my doc at the time about past anabolic use but after that visit I plan to tell them ahead of time just in case. Why not tell the doc just in case?

You will want to tell your anesthesologist your are on gear. It has the possibility of interacting with the medicines used to put you down ie: high blood pressure, problems going all the way out and other things.

Don't hide things from your doctor. Steroid use or otherwise. You're trusting these people to put you to sleep and operate on you. Don't betray that trust but "leaving something out". Then again, it's your body, your health, your life. Not mine.

Drugs to paralyse your muscles, to keep your lungs dry, pain medicines, etc in addition to gases.
A little embarassment is better than complications.

Tell you Doctors about this stuff....there is nothing that they can do to you except keep you alive !!! Anastesia (Sp) is a very dangerous thing...Eevn more important is the fact that if you die on a table getting your tonsils removed (think of how bab that would suck) There is no chance for a Malpractice suit.

absolutely tell the anastegia person. i had my gallbladder out in november mid cycle. i told the guy and he knew what deca was and said that it would make me recover quicker. which i think it did. but u need to tell him cause they upped the dosage to put me out. they do not care tell em. and you are fine. u will have to take a break from the gym after though

I just got read a study about how AAS can improve recovery time. However, I am of the belief that surgury from recovery should be "natural."

Im mid cycle dude. Theres nothing I can do now... I wasn't expecting to have this surgery but the tonsils flaired up again and had no choice but to schedule it soon. Even if I stopped the cycle now, my test levels wouldn't be back to normal by the time I was operated on, so theres no use in stopping. I will have to take 2 weeks off from the gym right after surgery. Atleast I won't lose much muscle.......
