Saw the new Pirates of the Carribean movie last night.

it was ok... i thought it was too long. but then again i had plans after and the movie time we wanted to go to was sold out so we went to the next one. i should have looked at the length before we saw it. but it was alright i guess.
 
It is the movie to beat this summer,and I don't see any movie touching it.Non-stop action from start to finish,lotsa laughs,highly entertaining.

I have a thread about it in the movies forum-It crushed the opening weekend box-office record previously held by spiderman.Took in 132 Mill it's first 3 days!
 
so it is the new #1 opening weekend grossing movie of all time?

Yep.

Also broke the single opening day record(previously held by Star wars Episode III:revenge of the Sith-50 mill).Took in 55 mill on Friday alone.

yeps its true just read it on hollywood....i knew i was going to be good, but spiderman good, btw can't wait till the third comes out may 4th next year

i know by 15 million thats definetely something to brag about, johnny depp is going to be getting some major money after this movie i am sure his price tag just jumped up again

Funniest shit about that is Disney execs were pissing and moaning about his portrayal of Jack Sparrow and how they thought it was a 'negative' character when the first POTC was being made.He made them eat their words to an astonishable degree.

They were actually trying to get him to change the character,saying it,"wasn't suitable for younger audiences." 300+Million later,they were silent.lol
 
well, when it costs as much to go see a movie as it does to get a whore over in Windsor, it doesn't suprise me.

HAHA,gotta hit the matinee shows,and forget about the concession stands or you'll walk away with a tattered culo.

Kids and I had to camp out an hour and a half in line,shit was selling out 2 shows ahead of time.
 
Fandango is your friend. I don't like waiting in line if I don't have to. I caught the matinee Saturday morning with a few clicks at home and a swipe of my credit card at the theater.

That's how we roll. Five dollar matinee and no buying those fucking $4.50 sodas and $6.00 popcorns.
 
I went to the 11:30 am show on Friday and took my 2 nephews and niece.

We all liked it. I loved the tropical scenery and huge ships. Good action throughout the whole movie.

2 thumbs up.
