Now that I haven't heard!

I'm wondering what underground neutrino detectors are currently up and running. If the info is released and relayed fast enough, we (the public) would have the opportunity to actually watch the star supernova as it's happening.

Now THAT'D be the chance of a millennium!

Everything I've read states that the remnants will be visible even in daylight for at least two months and there won't be much of a night sky during that period due to the light poison of Betelguese. Betelguese being pretty much in opposition to the sun. Most estimates put the supernova happening anywhere from now to the next million years, so I guess I'll have to wait.
