Ok.. I need to vent..
First of all, I work in a government building with a receptionist at the front entrance.
Anyways.. all the medical supplies including tylenol and advil are kept at the front with the receptionist.
So i was taking a leak and I noticed my rotator cuffs were both pretty sore today ( i did chest yesterday)
So i requested some advil from the front desk.... the first thing she says is I'm an advil junky.. fair enough.. I used to take it everyday because my rotator cuffs are always sore...
I told her I cut down to 1-2x per week(advil intake)... and then she says.. so what is botherin you?
I tell her my shoulder joints are kind of soar...
Guess what she decides to do? Break out the excersice advice...
Ryan... you should cut down your weights and do more repetitions.... blah blah blah...
No disrespect to females, but a woman whos main goal is to stay fit/lean and not bodybuild should not be giving me advice... She has no ideas what my goals are... and the worst part about it is she says it to me as if I have no clue about working out.
I know she was trying to give me some friendly advice.. but it seems that everybody who has worked out maybe 1 day in there life tends to act like they have all the answers...
I'm sorry I needed to vent... I'm sick of all these uneducated people telling me what to do
Thanks
ryan

Bro I feel your pain.. My favorite are the obese older ladies who think that just because they have sporadically done cardio for the past 45 year that they know all there is to know about strength training...LMAO

I had a trainer at my gym come up to me the other day to give advice, I almost choked. This guy pisses me off anyway, he's a fat slob, and teaches everyone to do partial movements, ie, squats where you barely bend your knees. I'm one of probably the 3 biggest and strongest members (out of over 3000), and he has the nerve to try and tell me what to do. I felt like saying "Tell you what, as soon as I decide to stop looking like a bodybuilder, and want to look like I've never seen the inside of a gym, then I'll come to you for advice"!

it will happen so don't even get bothered by it, Some friends of mine were suggesting that squatting past parallel is dangerous and that doing olympic movements are not going to build any muscle or strength... just ignore and take your advil;)

Its good to here other people gripes about uneducated people who preach their life changin advice..
The worst thing about the whole scenario was the lady who was telling me what I should be doing was probably 20-30 lbs overweight... kinda like your scenario needsize
I'm assuming shes a closet eater... Because whenever she is in public she tries to make it look like she eats nothing but perfect...
Yet she still manages to keep on her freshman 15..(in this case 30) from 10 years ago...
She is one of those ladies who you hear blabbing with other ladies around work about nutrition and health and fad diets.. and so on and so on....
I've heard them say some rediculous shit in the last couple of years and every time I offer some advice (based on the ludicrous shit coming out of there mouth) they act like I have no clue about what I'm talking about...
Oh well.... I guess I'll let them have their fad diets and give out their uneducated advice and just ignore them...
