hi all..as you well know, Ryan will be attempting the 800 today!! he called me on my cell phone minutes ago, about 2 hours from the time he lifts..and sounded great! he was calm, and eating pizza!!! LOL the big guy is know to down a few pizzas and burgers LOL..as soon as he calls me, ill let you all know how he did..I was supposed to fly out there, and my teacher recertification exam, got rescheduled from wed to today!! UGGGHHHHHH, i was pissed...Ill keep you posted guys!

Well I dont know how tru it is, but I heard he just missed 801.5, and he ended up with 750. Like I said im not sure if it is tru or not, I hope its not.

This is one monster of a man. He did not have a good day at the WABDL Nationals but he shot 749.5 up like nothing was on the bar. He missed 801.5 twice. His shirt blew out and it looked like a real bad lift-off from where I was sitting, he never had control of the bar and it came crashing down on his right side. He was lucky he was not injured, I will bet he will have some very sore ribs tomorrow. I have no doubt this man will hit 800+ real soon but the illusive 800 escapes again . I wish all the luck in the world to Mr. Ryan Kenelly. I hope he does break the 800 lb barrier.

Oh well, you live to train another day, and to compete another day. I wish he would have hit the 800+ mark but damn 750 is still nothing at all to be ashamed of. Good job regardless.

Hell, we all know he's strong enough. Its just a matter of getting it now. We really need to give him his props for trying such a weight. That takes some balls. Next time any of us deadlift, load up 800 on the bar, then you'll get perspective on what a freak Ryan is!! Shit like that just blows my mind!

Anyone who has the stones to lie under 800 lbs. has my respect whether the lift was completed or not. That kind of bench weight doesn't even register in my small world.

DAMN I just got this thread i was really hoping that he woulda hit that, THAT would've been the BEST BDAY gift to say that on my bday(and benchmonsters bday) in 2002 RYAN KENNELLY HIT a 800+lb bench. I was already braggin to all my friends that make fun of me for comin on here to get liftin advice tellin them that I talk to an 800lb bencher online and he's gonna do it in a meet and make world history and they didn't believe me. BUT DAMN 750 is stil awesome.

Musclehead we heard from the forum what they said what did he tell u personally about how he felt.

I hope his ribs are ok too.
