Rubber Stopper And Glass Bottle?

Im looking into storing large amounts of homebrew more than i would like to store in 50ml vials lol. So my question is does anyone think a 20mm butyl rubber stopper would fit a 500ml glass bottle? a glass bottle with a opening the same size as a wine bottle?

Checked some home alcohol brewing forums and a number 2 rubber stopper should fit wine bottles.

Number 2 alcohol brewing stopper dimensions
Top: 25/32" (20mm)
Bottom: 5/8" (16mm)
Length: 1.0" (25mm)

Would the normal 20mm butyl stoppers fit a glass beer bottle?

Im definitely going to try it was just wondering what everyone else thought.

When your buying 50ml vials in bulk it gets expensive when you got a lot of liquid to store and its just more of a temporary storage will be transferred it all into 10ml vials eventually but right after brewing i need to store it for say a week maby 2 before re packing into 10ml vials and labelling.

So it goes like this Brewing > Temp storage > 10ml vials

500ml or 750ml glass bottles sterilized would be idea just not sure if the rubber stopper would fit if its 20mm exact that inserts into the vial top then it should

Someone must have a spare butyl rubber stopper and a beer bottle to test this? would be most appreciative
