Rotor cuff Damage

Jhon

New member
I was wondering if anyone could tell me a good way to repair a partially torn rotor cuff? I hope with all experience on this board that some one can help me out.
Thanks Jhon

you need to get what's known as an MR-Arthrogram...this is where they inject dye into your shoulder and then put you into an MRI machine...they can tell by the way the dye spreads if there is a tear or not....

if there's a tear, you'll most likely require surgery...

if not, you may need rehabilitation, pain meds, rest, etc...

i had a shoulder prob a while back, and glucosamine/chondroiton/Msm helped a little.

good luck with your shoulder, i know it sucks.

Find out for sure if it is a tear or not. If it turns out not to be a tear then try A.R.T. Therapy.

Works wonders and you are back to training faster then anything else I have tried before.

EEk, stay away from scopes and try more nonevasive means first. There have been double blind studies done on using MRI's to determine how accurate they are in determining this kind of damage. I can remember the exact numbers, but many of the people in the study who reporting pain showed no damage via MRI while many that didnt have pain showed series problems.

Against what many beleive, tears(unless all the way through) as well as cartiledge damage can be repaired by the body. I for one would recommend you see a good prolotherapist and see if your condistion can be treated with simpler means before you go under the knife.
