I downloaded this video off kazaa...and thought it was pretty neat. The guy is INSANELY strong. He pulled 800lbs for 2 reps and it almost looked sorta easy. Military pressed 405 for like 12 reps. He really only said 2 things the whole video: "light weight", and I think the other was "hey buddy!" lol. He sounds dumber than mike tyson when he talks. Overall cool video you guys should check it out

It was a great video, but it really puts your own lifts into perspective when you see the weights he throws around

I would like to see this video sometime. Ronnie Coleman is probably the strongest bodybuilder out there even when compared to Kovacs.

Wait..I thought that you got to win the Olympia and be a bodybuilder by doing flyes and concentration curls!!!

When Coleman trains he uses it all

Deads, Squats, bench presses, barbell rows, and military presses.

Of course he uses other isolation movements, but he is a bodybuilder. . .an incredibly strong bodybuilder.

I just finished watching the video off Kazzaa. That dude is seriously strong. He was deadlifting 760lbs like it was nothing. Front squating 6 plates each side. The 200 lb dumbells were like balloons in his hands.

Anyone else notice that he sounds exactly like damon waynes in that movie Major Payne? LOL, i couldn't stop giggling every time I heard him talk.

Its also fun to see him at work as a cop. I loved that shot where they are panning across the room during the cop briefing. You see all these skinny guys, and then BANG, a HUGE motherfucker who barely fits in the chair, and is bursting out of his clothes.

if you watch him while his commander or what ever is reading their assignments, he just rolling his eyes, not even paying attention...its kinda funny.

If he was that muscular and couldnt lift heavy weights.....i would there is something wrong.

I only slightly get impressed with feats of strength from huge guys.....if you have that much muscle, and have beenb training that long...it better do something.

I must say that I like his gym. Dirty plates, old bars, NOTHING pretty in the gym.

I remember, a while back someone put a link to the trailer for the coleman video. Basically, it was like the first few minutes of the video that just gives a few short clips of his huge lifts. And it was funny cause people made replies like

"Way to drop the weight pussy!"

and crap like that making fun of that fact that he dropped the squat bar. YEAH, i wish i could lift 12 plates off the rack, let alone drop it.

Now i agree that form and control are important, but sometimes people look so hard to find a flaw that they dont see how obviously rediculously strong and impressive someone is.

Its about time, ya'll come around and see that Ronnie is HUGe and crazy strong.

Also, i agree that he sounds retarded. I personally like when he shakes his head a lot and if he is trying to shake of a fly or something...

whats the name of the movie file so i can search it on kazzaa

Try just looking up "Bodybuilding" under Video search in Kazaa. It will probably list a bunch of smaller clips, but then just sort by file size and you will see a few that are like seven hundred and something megs.

I suggest downloading Ronnie Coleman: The unbelievable.
Pumping Iron by arnold
Blood and Guts by dorian Yates

also there is this video of this body builder woman with a HUGE clit, which is kinda freaky, yet at the same time erotic.

Does it piss anyone off that he is a cop that purchases and uses controlled substances?

I dont get to bothered by it. But i think its funny that he is a cop to start with. I mean, how hard would it be to get away from him if you needed to? I mean, in 120 degree weather, i think you could break into a brisk walk and Ronnie wouldn't be able to catch you.

There is one scene in the video where he is arresting some woman for yelling at her mom or something, and they show him walking her to the cop car and his waddling like some mutant turtle.

While we're on the subject. I downloaded "Pumping Iron", but when I try to run it, it only plays the sound not the video. Is there some sort of software that's needed to run these larges files? (decompressor???)

Thanks,

hey how long is that video clip? I've got the one previously mentioned that somebody put a link to and it's only like a minute long or so. It was cool, but if this one is much longer then I want it.

Yeah, that other one was just a preview for the movie. I believe its the opening credits for the movie itself. THe actual movie is about and hour and half i think. IT goes through full body workout [not all on same day].

Also has about 15 minutes of watching Ronnie eat his various meals during the day. Its funn. "Good ol' chicken!" Guess its trying to emphasize how Important food is.

not trying to nitpick but I only remember ronnie going up to 315 on the militaries. Not many people going to do 12 reps with 4 wheels...but 315 certainly aint shabby! anyone remember?

Yeah, i think he only went up to 3 plates on military press. But that is still pretty damn big. And he goes on to do bent over rows with 5 plates on a side i am pretty sure. THAT IS BIG!

-Fatty

Yeah, he does 5 plates each side for bent over rows (495lbs). Like Ronnie would say "LIGHT WEIGHT!"

My favorite part of the movie is that he said that God has a purpose for everyone and God's purpose for Ronnie was to be Mr. Olympia.

OH oh, and also, that God's purpose for the gym owner was to be Ronnie's guardian angel. Hmmm, i wish my purpose in life was to spot somebody in the gym.

"Aint nutin' but a peanut"

Saw the video late last night. .very impressive training!! Ronnie is a soft spoken individual who is extremely focused. Of course, he has to eat a lot to keep that big body functioning.

I'm not impressed after realizing how much he shoots. :D

....you should be.

I could say the same of a LOT of the professional strongmen but that would patronize them by implying that all their dedication to diet and training does not matter - that everything come forms a syringe...and it certainly doesnt

WizKid25 said:
I'm just saying he couldn't of achieved that without AS.

I agree with you....but to not be impressed with an 805 x 2 deadlift close to bb comp shape is kinda crazy.

Its Metroflex in Arlington. I've lifted there several times and its a BLAST!!!! No nice things at all. Its nasty, dirty, and its great. Its really cheap to join, and the guy, Brian, who runs it is really really nice. If you want to go sometime, just holler at me and we'll take a trip B!! They play all kinds of hard music and there are NO people there who aren't serious about lifting. You should come with me sometime!!

Sweet!!! I need to train at this gym sometime!! I live only 200 miles north of Dallas-Arlington-Ft. Worth area.

Just watched that video ---WOW!

Few points that everyone should take from that

1) His intensity is through the roof
2) If he's not working out, he's eating
3) Large compound movements w/ heavy weights
4) No need for separate arm day

Not sure if his training would be called high volume or if all those sets are just warmups to last main working set. (I just couldnt tell since almost all the weight was ridiculous-- I mean I guess 8 plates on tbar would be a warmup if your last set is 12 plates x 8:insane: )

People on this board underestimate and do not realize the true strength of these guys. Coleman can probably military press 435lbs for a single. I love the video!! I also downloaded "Blood and Guts" and "Pumping Iron" . I like them all.

Today, Arnold would look like a stick figure next to Ronnie. In pumping iron, Arnold is squatting the same amount of weight as Ronnie is using on military press.

He talks funny - I expected a deep booming voice, he sounds like Mike Tyson :p

"errr lightweight".. :D

RC is big and strong, but when I watch it, I'm kinda blase, you know it just goes over my head. Not sure why.

cause you dont train for the same purposes....silly.:D

and....you dont eat fries and chicken while cutting...

and....youre not a cop....

and.....you dont throw your weights around......

and.....you dont wear striped lycra pants....

hehehe. :)

Well big weights is big weights - it's impressive as hell. But it's like so out there that after 3 plates you stop counting :)

It's just like science fiction :spit:

We also have to remember, that Ronnie was 285lbs in the video. He was pressing a lot of weight, but it was only 30lbs over his bodyweight.

Lets do the math:

Coleman: 315lbs / 285lbs = 110 percent of bodyweight

Average Joe: 192lbs / 175lbs = 110 percent of bodyweight

Still it is impressive. . .the frontal squats and DB presses were amazing.

All the clothes those dudes wore were hilarious. Ronnie with his pants, and his shirts that said "Shut up and Squat" and "Kick Ass". And Brian with the cutoff shorts and camoflouge sleeveless is definately questionable lol

Oh and how funny is it how he always says "light weight" until the 6 plates front squat and then goes "that was heavy!"

You know you've watched the video too much when you start saying to yourself during your set "Light Weight Baby"

i like the part where hes doin DB laterials with 70-80's like butter... just throwing them up.. it was great.. he looks better in 2000, now, his waist is super huge.. i think i actually like ronnie now:)

Ronnies training impressed me!! I would love to see what he can workout with on inclines, back squats, and leg presses.

I have never come across a leg press machine that would be able to hold enough weight for him lol

I can't believe it. That is all I say to myself when I watch ronnie.
I am so humbled it is insane. I feel so small and I pondered an instant retirement from the iron. lol He is something else though. His bent over bar rows were something from a different planet. His core is made of granite. His front squats were insane bc you know that he is strong and it was tough for him. What an animal.................

He is amazing. I feel like an average joe on the street. One of these days I will make my way south to train at Metroflex gym.. . .only 200 miles from the place.

His presses with the 200lb dumbbells were sick!!

I've only watched part of it once...and I find myself saying the same damn thing! "Liiiiiiiiiiiggght Weight...yeah buddy!":D

i like when it shows him sitting at his morning meeting at the police department, he looks like a gorilla in a uniform! video is awesome, ronnie comes across as a really likeable guy.

ever see the drawings in MD or muscleMag, of the super huge guys??? thats what Coleman looks like. there like... no room for anything. when he was doin military, his biceps touched his chest, his tris touched his lats, his rear delts were insanely huge, and his gut touched his quads. peole say Kovacs is the biggest bodybuilder, but.. i think coleman is thicker and more full..

great movie. each time when i was watching pumping iron, blood and guts, or ronnie's unbelievable i get hungry, i gotta lotta eating to do and a lot more weight to throw around to even be a fraction of them.

oh and how the hell does ron fit in his viper. they're a bitch to get out of even for a regular size guy.

and gotta love the parking lot lunges.

out of blood and guts and RC's movie, i like ronnie's best.

the owner of that gym sounds too funny. the guy in blood and guts sounds weird sounding mean in an english accent. plus i dont understand them too well....hehehe. kindof like watching "snatch: the movie" for the first time...you dont understand what brad pitt is saying....LOL.

is there a new video? if so, is it on dvd? which one is better? i haven't seen it

Everything's tough about Metroflex gym except some of the outfits that Brian the owner wore lol

I dont blame him. . have you ever experienced the Texas summer heat?? His place has no air conditioning. . I bet it can get well over 100 degrees in the gym.

If it reached 1,000 degrees it would still not excuse a man for wearing daisy dukes and a camouflage tanktop.

Hate to bring up this old thread but, First off Do you have to join kazaa?

Anyway I did and tried to download the RC Incredible, it was like 546000 kb. How long does that take with a DSL connection? I had it on all night and this afternoon at 12 noon my computer shut down and lost everything at 450000 kb. damn So oes it take like 10 hours?

That video was insane, my jaw was like perma dropped.

And yeah, it takes like a week to download that off kazaa, did for me anyways. Have to keep clicking the 'find another source' thing heh.

Do you have WinMx?

I can share the vid and give you my user name. I'll leave it open until it completes.

EDIT: Either that, or I'll name it something like "Gonelifting.avi" so you can find it.

Just let me know.

Glad you brought this old thread up, gonelifting. I just let this download last night, it took about 5 hours (assuming the speed was constant after I went to bed).

This morning all I could think at breakfast was "good ol' eggs!"
