RODNEY KING IN DRUG BUST

August 29, 2001 -- Los Angeles cop-beating victim Rodney King is in trouble with the law yet again - this time for allegedly doing drugs.
King was busted yesterday at a motel in Claremont, Calif., after he appeared at the front desk, disoriented and claiming his car had been stolen, police said. He was later arrested for allegedly being under the influence of the psychedelic drug PCP.

Police said King's girlfriend, who was staying with him at the motel, had taken the car to do an errand.

It was the eighth time King had been arrested since 1992, when he was seen on a now-infamous videotape being viciously beaten and stomped on by L.A. cops after a high-speed car chase.

pcp is basically tranquilizers, but pcp is a strong elephant tranquilizer, it is also the same thing as embalming fluid......out here in california they dip ciggarettes or a blunt in the liquid and let it dry then smoke it, its called sherm, or a sherman stick, the shit will fuck you up!!!!!!!!

I wonder how old Reginald Denny is doing these days. Remember him? He is the white guy who was pulled from his truck and nearly beat to death during the riots after the Rodney King Cops got off. :fro:

well that guy reginald denny he got his ass nearly beat to death just two blocks from my house, the story goes......he turned onto florence avenue, and the rodney king verdict had just been read, all the blacks were fired up, and reginald denny yelled out the window of his diesel......yeah the n***** got what he deserved, well reginald thinking since he was in a diesel he wouldnt be fucked with, well all the brothers were yelling to the cars and people on the street.....STOP THE TRUCK, STOP THE TRUCK!!!!!! the community chased the truck for over 1.5 miles and finally the truck came to a crashing hault, thats when the beating took place.....now Im white, and I live in the heart of south central los angeles, today the black comm. has mellowed a bit......but it just goes to show someone of a different race cant go into a neighborhood and talk and try to disgrace a race of people............but yes the beating took place on the corner of florence ave and normandie ave......2 blocks from my house!!!!!!
 
CN1, that's the first time I'v ever heard that allegation. You're saying he yelled that into the middle of a race riot and didn't even lock the door to his truck? Yeah, right.

no weapon the riots hadnt started yet, there is this guy named donny he owns a hot dog stand on florence ave, and he told the story how it happened, they chased the truck......and yes the guy did yell that, do you think a whole community is going to chase a diesel and almost kill a guy for no reason...........once the beating started thats when the riots started!!!!!! and the guy donny he is a great figure in the black community in this area of town, he has all kinds of accolades from boys and girls clubs, and other businesses representing his help and care for the community!!!!!!!!

I'm not going to say I believe it or not, BUT, through all of the news coverage that the riots got, why wouldn't someone have reported the comments Denny allegedly yelled out of his truck window? Just curious, I am not saying your lying by any means.

You'd think that hot dog vendor, being the great guy he is/was, would have informed the American public why an innocent looking man, who appeared to be driving along, was beaten to a bloody fucking pulp--even if he said what he said?

Plus, if one man screaming some shit out of a big truck will cause a whole community to basically destroy ITSELF, one must question the intelligence level of that community--no offense to you personally, since I assume you were not out rioting yourself.

No matter how you slice it, that area will never be forgotten. Their actions, just like those who rioted it Watts, and in Chicago before them, will always precede them...

this is funny.....as if the media can't slant a story one way or another.....happens all the time....remember the
dude from Atlanta.(the Olympic bombing)..how the media damn near convicted him, and the FBI did his family. WX, don't act like the media is always a credible source. How they slanted J. Rocker's story to paint him as a bad guy, and then kept badgering him for year afterwards.

I agree wholeheartedly. The Rocker case is a good one to illustrate this.
However, just hearing a story from a guy on a bodybuilding board doesn't quite convince me.
I am perfectly willing to accept this story if I can find it somewhere else and evaluate for myself whether Denny brought it on himself.
That' swhy I always try to post sources for my stories. It's then up to the reader to accept or reject my sources.
 
man some of you board members honestly shock the hell out of me with your know it all attitudes..........do you think if someone told the LA PD that reginald denny yelled nigger and he got what he deserved would matter, the fuckin police force had just got off scott free for beating a black man nearly to death theirselves and had to pay no consequence for it, now do you think at that time they would even care what reginald denny said, Im not gonna beat this issue to death, but you dont even live in LA weapon X and much less live where the shit happened and you arent able to get witness accounts either, and the one board member was right, basically I want to tell you that I am a film, tv, and broadcast major at a california state university, and the information you recieve in the newspapers, and on tv is screened and skewed for what higher authoritative powers want you to see and hear and then believe, it happens all the time, here in LA there are shootings and all other crimes you never hear about, but then you hear about shootings that kill innocent victims, the media has strong ties to government agencies, and what you see and hear through news firms is highly screened, do you ever hear the true story from the party themselves.........do you ever hear the truth behind government scams and coorporation ran scams that affect you daily........hell no!!!!!!! bro you need to wise up and realize you have been raised in a white governmental democratic environment that has shaped you and basically led you to be who you are today. The life you live is not what you think it is, it is a whitebred authority that makes decisions for you and tells you what is so-called wright and wrong......Its sad guys like you havent woke up to smell the coffee!!!!!

I followed the Rodney King stuff very closely and I never, ever heard that Reginald Denny did anything of the sort. He just drove through at the wrong time. What's more, he was not bitter about the incident afterwards. I think your story is incorrect and a tall tale of justification for an act of racial hatred.

You sound like an eyewitness, dude. None of you guys were there, why would anyone believe you? Everything you know is from the media....if you actually believe the media won't edit and present a story a certain way, then you're full of shit. He said the riots started WHEN the dude yelled....not before....since you have such accurate sources, post when the riots actually started.
NO media shit, actual, reliable, eyewitness sources. Then I'll stop commenting....................Seems like everytime someone posts a race-related thread....it denigrates into a unintelligent, narrow-minded forum, without real points. You want us to prove a negative based on one person's hearsay! I don't think so. The media DID present the story in a certain way, they made King look like a victim instead of the criminal he is. If they had that information about Denny believe me it would have made front page news.

Bullshit, the video made King look like a victim, the media aren't the ones who taped the video, had it not been taped, none of us would have known about it. You don't have to prove shit, makes no difference to me, because I know you can't. You get your information from the same places everyone else does.....prove that you don't. Again, if you don't think the media will change and slant a story to sell papers, then you're stupid, and ignorant. Ignorant enough for me to stop wasting my time explaining to you.....research the process dude.....or talk to somebody who does interviews either side of the table media or celebrity-type. Or simply open your eyes.

As for king, he hasn't learned shit....what druggie does? Nor has D. Strawberry, or Robert Downey jr, but they let them keep their jobs, well paying jobs too......
