He hadn't been doing any tracks for a few years now. He had a stroke awhile back and I think he never had the same voice. I'm not 100% if he could never regain that after the stroke but that's what I remember vaguely reading.

Lost Guru and Nate dogg in less than a year...sad

really makes me remember one of the earlier chris rock specials where he asked why do only the good rappers die.

Besides the obvious in biggy and 2pac

Big l, big pun, freaky tah, jam master jay, old dirty. Then you had lesser known guys that were talented like e money bags. Now guru..

it's really sad. Lot of talented people that were the essence of what hip hop was.
