If your main goal is strength and size what would be a good rest interval for heavy compound movements such as bench, deads, and squats?

Just curious to see what everyone uses

when you are ready.

rest intervals are individual. you want to keep them short enough so you dont lose focus but long enough to not still be wore out from the previous set. you'll find that time thats right for you.

I am in pretty good cardiovascular shape so it takes me about 1 min to get ready for another set. As long as I can put full effort in. I can usually tell by the way I am breathing...

Exactly. Mine are short, I think. I take like a minute to a minute and a half for bench, depending if I have a partner that day. Squats and Deads, probably around 2 minutes. Three tops. And my size AND strength are continuously increasing. Find what works best for you bro.

does 2 minutes and 30 seconds sound like too much time?

It feels really good using this interval...

I like 3 mins. 5mins makes me go cold.
3 mins is just right, short enough to get partial fatigue to recruit the higher threshold fibres
