Rest betwen sets? 5X5...

OK, I'm into my 5th week of the 5X5 program and I find that I'm taking longer rest in between sets in order to get all the reps in.

What would be the MAX amount of time I should rest between sets?
 
5 min is what you should be shooting for once the weight starts getting to the point where your really pushin.
 
When I did it towards the end I did it by feel....2min to 5min. The heavier I got the longer it took. I usually got it done in 60 to 75 though. When I first started I could knock it out in about 45min with some accessories added. I would rest just long to where you feel you can complete the next set.

I am in my 10th week of 5x5 and the weights are starting to get high and I take as long as 5-7 mins in between sets. It starts to take awhile after the weights get heavier. I recently failed for the 1st time on my power cleans at 225 only got 5,5,4,5,4. It gets taxing the longer you keep at it.
 
OK thanks everyone so it's normal to take a little longer as the weight gets longer.

@ Project X how did you incorporate power cleans into the 5X5 program, very interested.

I took out Barbell rows in workout A of SL5x5. I thought it would make the routine harder which in my opinion it does and it makes workout A a pain in the ass the higher the weights get. Overall it was a good choice in my opinion.
