Reducing the size of a muscle

Hi, I have very large pectorial muscles, which are definately not in proportion to the rest of my body. I was wondering if there is any way I could actually reduce the size of the muscles, short of going on a long crash diet.

Thanks!

I don't think there is any way to target those muscles to decrease them, just like you can't spot reduce fat.....I would concentrate on making your other parts larger, or if you don't want to add size, get on a cardio program....IMO.

Man, I have the exact same prob. I mean I like having a big cheast but it doesn't look right compaired to the rest of my body. I don't know what to do either. I have been debating on quiting bench work all together but I have a powerlifting meet this weekend and cant. After this I may cut one some of my cheast work and focus on the rest of my body more!! I don't know that doing lots of reps with light weight wouldn't help. If nothing else they would be cut!!!

I'm glad i'm not the only one. This is quite a long shot, but perhaps there is a suppliment that would perhaps encourage the body to look primarily to the muscles of the body instead of the fat... perhaps not.

I don't think decreasing size would help your body out, try to emphasize the other pats to bring them up to par. Good genetics are a blessing so don't try to drop the muscle just add it on the other places you feel are lacking....

Make shoulders, arms, and back the priority of your training. If you wanna/have to bench, save it for last.

It's simple bro, either dont work chest at all so the muscles atrophy, or only do light weights once per week to keep them tone while you bulk up the rest of your body.
