Reasons for not showing face when posting pics.

OK, I'm getting my show pics ready to post, but I'm wondering whether I should care about leaving my face in or not. The truth is, I don't really care about showing my face, but should I?? I'm not using any gear, and I'm unlikely to ever reach the higher echelons of bodybuilding, and I understand why people with those reasons would blank out their faces, but are there any reasons that I just haven't thought of for why one wouldn't show one's face?

The women who don't show their faces - besides the above reasons, is it just a privacy thing for you?

This intrigued me as well.....

Reasons I could think of:

- stalking
- "peer pressure" to stop sculpting a good body and get shapeless bag like your fellow co-workers
- wacked jaws / nose due to going overboard with test / GH ?
- ??
- ???

Some guys blank their face out as well, but it seems mainly a female thing....

I did not start with a problem of not showing my face, but as i started to post more and say rather private things about myself i decided i did not want to show my face ever on the board. For me it is not the AAS use but just that i have said a lot of personal sorts of things on the boards.

I agree with Mag regarding having discussed personal issues.

I kinda showed my face (profile) & blanked it out in others. One shot I blanked it simply cuz it looked bad! :lmao: I hadn't bothered to touch up my makeup.

My other reason is that my sister didn't want to post her face & our faces are very similar.

If your employer would be embarassed by your openly discussing some of the subjects here, it gives them a certain plausible deniability.

I personally plan on stalking Steel during my next vacation.

:)

Anyone with half a brain can figure out where to find us, with or without showing face.

That frightens me. What can they know where i live if i never say?

And i also would enjoy stalking Steelweaver! ;)

I've shown my face a few times , but always pulled the pix down after awhile. One thing you have to remember is that once you post somethign on the internet its in the public domain. There are sick people who will copy your pic down and either keep it to jerk off to or to pass it around to others. Someone might decide to do a PhotoShop on it and alter it so you have an enormous dick or some shit and then post it somewhere. There are just waaaay too many people w/ too much free time. You may also get a lot of pervs PM ing or emailing you too just because you actually opened up that much online.

Personally I think you are just better off not showing everyone everythign including your tonsils. The interest we have on this board is with physical development of the body. Unless you want to show progress pix in the development of your cheeks following weeks of face exercises, a face isn't really "required" to get the point across.

My reason is like Sassy said. People can take the face, photoshop it, and it could end up in places you don't want it. It's not like someone couldn't do the same thing taking a picture of me on the street, but why make it easier? It's not the Elite crowd I'm particularly worried about, but all those folks who DON'T spend all their spare time in the weight room.
