Real Women's workout and Fitness Magazine

Just curious as to what type of magazine is actually informative and useful about weights and nutrition. My friend and I agree a majority that alot of the "Fitness" or Shape mags for active women features genetically blessed females on the cover with minimal or no muscle definition and all the exercises consists of better bicep curls with a resistence band..... HA HA HA. Anyways, just wondered if you ladies subscribed to any mags that were decent.
Thank you dears,
Rachel

I get my stuff from me, this board, my trainer, other people in the gym, etc.

I find those magazines to be absolute trash compared to what I learn on my own.

But that's just me. :)

Actually the only fitness magazine I find informative and great to look at...LOL :qt: is "Men's Health" . It alway's has new and inventive exercise info , and great all around nutritional info. I find almost all the excercises can be tailored to a female perspective :)

Same here. You find little gems of advice on this board and from the peeps in the gym, then experiment with it to find out what works for you, and what doesnt.

Also, I've never quite understood why "women's fitness" magazines even sell. The principles of nutrition and progressive resistance weight training are the same for both men and women. The few issues peculiar to women arent enought to warrant an entire magazine. Back when I did read BB mags, I read Ironman, and Musclemag.

I would have to agree but I still buy them. :lmao: Oh you know what pisses me of beyond words about those mags is seeing a chick curl 5lbs or some crap like that OMG :redhot:

They glam up magazines to suit what will sell.... the diet the lifting..etc. When I do read any magazing pertaining to fitness I take it as watching wrestling, for entertainment purpose only.

They lie about so much pertaining to what supplements they acutally use, illegal and not illegal that how do you ever believe their actuall diet and training program.

If you train and have been consistantly for years you just look at it and laugh. Though no two people are alike its insane to live on some of their diets much less look the way they look.. have muscle and train.
