Ummm....Is there a need for a WACP? There is/was one for minorities. By the way, the NAACP was created by white people. A college fund for black-americans is not ENTIRELY for minority students. Finally, there is no such thing as an all black college. They are called HISTORICALLY BLACK COLLEGES. White students attend those schools as minorities and are more than welcome for grants and fundings as minorities attending those schools.

the reasons thies groups exsist is because of black culture in america

Have you ever had to lay off a very good employee, who's been with you for over 5 years and has a family to take care of. For no other reason than a bullshit thing like Affirmative Action????

when 1000 kids apply to Law School @ UT and they accept the most qualified based on entrance exam, gpa, etc...895 they stop because they only have 45 minorities and they are required to have at least 150 minorities.
The remaining spots in Law School go to the most qualified minority not always the most qualified applicant

This happened to a friend of mine. He just missed the acceptance to UT LAw School because they had to accept a certain number of Minorities even though they had lower gpa and did not score as high on the entrance exam.

Now he is a successful Lawyer and Graduated from SMU Law School, so I dont feel sorry for him. In fact, I dont have a beef with any race, but I do not like Reverse Descrimination.

The problem I think with things like "AA" is that it creates a specific guideline that states,..."An employer MUST hire a certain amount of minorities, over caucasions." This is the thing that pisses many caucasions off. Going to school, working 2 jobs, going for that great job, and knowing you were passed down, not because of your qualifications necessarily, but for your race. That is the problem. In all fairness, we should do away with AA. Let's face it guys,...the world has been hard for everyone, at one time/another, and we all have to make it through to survive. Race should be just set down. It is such a tired and exausted issue, that frustrates people on both ends. Time to move on. I have all different color friends, some closer than others, but you don't have to be any specific color to agree & see the holes in the system here. It is written in black and white, that AA is unfair, and does not work.

The spots should be based on merit. Names and photos should be witheld from the people making the final decision on admittance to avoid discrimination.Admittance would be based primarily on academic accomplishment and personal statements. Scholarships for highly qualified underrepresented minorities would be a good incentive for talented minorities (or socially disadvantaged nonminorities) who display outstanding aptitude and work ethic. Scholarships would also help alleviate socioeconomic disparities that prevent access to higher education.

thats the same reason i think our troops should stay in our counrty.

I have a new respect for all you guys. Not too often, when things of this nature are brought up,.. and talked about w/ both parties, it seldomly goes without ending up heated. first of all, its not the race people hate. it's the culture. let that be understood. If people didn't act a certain way, this hatred wouldn't exist.

second...every single ethnic group has its degenerates. These degenerates should always be open to criticism because their actions are inexcusable. Theres no need to use politically correctness as a shield for criticism. But the thing people need to understand is that there are always exceptions to the rule.
